This, though I'd imagine anything similar will do. I'm also fucking sick of using it just because Hasbro wouldn't recognise a QC process if it bit them

I may get rid of Ransack and Scorpy (assuming my set arrived ok), I dont like Scorpy's design and I just bought the Kickback version of the mold so I dont need Ransack.

I will post here if I do want to move them on.

Sorry I was finishing a late lunch.

My earlier posts were talking about two companies that have produced an MP Mirage. As David has said, TE has got into hot water and dumped alot of inventory from across all its brands (Deformation Space -DS) cheaply with a multitude of sellers. Can still get their MP seekers and Blaster for circa £70. They will likely lay low before relaunching under a different name. The Mirage they produced is the older of the two figures. It can be had for circa £50-70. Fanstoys figure has only been out for 3-4 weeks tops and is about twice the price of the TE one.

Okay, thanks - I’ll give that a go too and see what works best. My Slammer is pretty loose on a few points. I almost sent him backs holds well in robot mode but tower/tank are appalling.

I will be selling Ransack as I bought him previously for £30!
He will considerably cheaper than that though.

Legacy Grin and Bear it mini review...

Oh yes, Hasbro, you'll sell loads of them like this...

    20230114_135718.jpg

For something that (appropriately enough) is barely a Transformer, I am thoroughly enjoying this bot mode. It's damn near all of it. The Motorhead album cover for a remarkably movable headsculpt, the shade of white used (probably a happy accident), the accessories... it shouldn't work and indeed for many it won't, but I'm the guy with hundreds of black t-shirts, so... give him a go for yourself. The only thing annoying me is his backpack/tail section almost free spins on my copy. Sick of fucking about with Pledge, I really am. Anyway, you can pose this guy up a storm and there's plenty of options with his curious rubber weapons, madam.

The alt is where shit falls down. Quite apart from looking literally like fuck all it's ironically got engineering other bots would kill for! It's approaching WFC Soundwave-bad. A complete afterthought.

Tarquin here was £14 at Kapow and the bot mode is well worth that IMO. The alt is perversely worth transforming once just to see how much effort they strangely put in and then never again, but definitely give him a go is my advice.

He really doesn't look at all like Skullgrin does he, he looks way more like Impactor as a vehicle. Perhaps bigger blades might help a bit but he's completely missing the little red wheel on the front.

As for that tail... test it out on other port and try plugging something else into the port to discover if the port of the post is undersize or over size and then put a thin layer of clear nail varnish on the relevent part. Let it dry though or it might glue itself in place.

I think the clear Nail Polish you can buy in Poundland for well £1 is a reasonable tool for loose 5mm ports & mushroom pegs, The Floor polish is about the best you can do to assist pinned parts... like Crankcase's stupidly loose knee for example.

    ----------

So I'm trying to make some sense out of my Amazon JP order. It says on the actual product page estimated delivery 19th January
But on the order page it says they have not taken the money, not shipped anything either and one of the other items is a pre-order for 2 weeks time. did they really decide to sit on my items for 2 weeks and not charge me until the last item is release.

I don't mind that much I just thought the contridictory info was very contridictory is all.

    -------

Oh and I finally caved and bought Cyberpunk 2077, I thought considering the number of videos on the game I watch it was getting a bit silly that I didn't have it and it's not horribly expensive now.

Ok, Universe......you do win for today. IMG_20230114_160501_HDR.jpg

I've got stuff sitting in the Jubilee Mail Centre from early December frozen in place but SAF sen this out at 2.35 yesterday afternoon and it's here today........I've got a degree in Logistics and I have no fucking idea what sort of business model that is but Royal Fail are running it hard.

Anyway, my most anticipated figure of this year is now safely in the bag two weeks into 2023 so yay and thanksverymuchforallyourhardworkyouvebeengreatandimeanthatsincerely.

I didn't order anything from Gamey, cheap or not I've got it all anyway. At full price. Stupid, stupid me.

I prefer the Pledge because it's easier to wipe away the excess, works on multiple points and isn't as permanent if I fuck up :)

Got to master the squeezing technique with those blind bags (unless Tesco had them in security cases, in which case, there's nothing but luck on your side). Spent a good ten mins or so trying not to look like a shoplifter in Smths today, but it paid off and I got all 6 minifigures I wanted.

I heard a rumour that they were going to switch to small boxes, which would eliminate squeeze-checking, but it clearly hasn't happened yet.

Bloody hell, this thread moves fast. I only posted my questions yesterday, but the post is already 10 pages back... so I thought I'd bump it to see if anyone online today has any experience with any of those sellers.

Avoid Nerd Toys and Sonner, both have obvious money issues. Geeky Nerd Toys too. Or at least use PayPal if they have good sale items or something! Definitely don't PO anything with them.

Game CC parcel collected. Lets hope the Goldbug paint isn't as bad on the one I returned to ID toys when they first came out!
Can't quite believe I actually got it at £15!

No Tonka in store though, but was tempted by the GI Joe Megatron for what would be £40...
