Having tough time deciding if I should get the legacy blitzwing or keep my titans return blitzy. Perhaps u guys can help with decision
Get Legacy if you want more toon accuracy, and want it to match up with a bunch of other 'post-power of the primes' figures you might have. Keep Titans Return if you want to save money.
Thrilling 30. Yeah the shoulder issue is annoying as hell, but I still love him. Plus you can do a forth hybrid flying tank mode.(would show pic but hes in storage atm)
They both have a lot going for them. I enjoy having both, and currently have both of them out and accessible in my room for my kids and I to mess with of an evening. They both make great desk bots.
Legacy by far. It has its' obvious issues, but literally the only good thing about TR Blitzwing is the jet mode. Everything else about is a floppy mess.
Depends what you want from your Blitzy. If you're just interested in robot mode, probably Legacy. If you're after a toy with three decent modes, probably Titans Return. If you're looking for a more G1-esque representation, Legacy. If the 80s cartoon vibe makes you break out in hives, Titans Return. If you're putting it with post-WFC toys, Legacy. If you're not, maybe Titans Return. Et cetera, et cetera. Which one do you like best? I'd get that one if I were you. I didn't get either, mind, I like my Iron Factory one.
I I think that's the first time I've seen the 2 standing next to each other. I can't believe that the new Leader is shorter than the old Voyager. I'm curious how the Legacy Blitzwing scales next to the Classics/Henkei Astrotrain in robot mode.
He would still tower over him. Aside from the intentional scaling occasionally like the Minibots, the deluxe line has stayed pretty much the same in terms of height and Blitzwing is very much a large voyager (TR version was probably the largest voyager from that line). When it comes to TR versus Legacy, I'd go with Legacy. The grape juiced face is just awful looking. If the comparison were the Legends version versus Legacy, I'd say the choice would be much harder.
I'd say Legacy, unless you can track down a reasonable Legends one. I always regretted skipping Legends Blitzwing and Octane, but I am happy with the Legacy now.
Me personally, I could never get past the TR Version being a Headmaster so I would vote Legacy. Now if you asked between Thrilling 30 and Legacy, I would have a tough call. Overall I think Legacy is better but I still like how the T30 version incorporated the Animated Man-E-Faces gimmick.
<——— walks into the room only to see the 17th recent thread asking others about their thoughts on Legacy Blitzwing. Quietly turns around, closes the door, and leaves…
Legacy is the better figure by a wide margin, but I consider it to be overpriced. What's it worth to you?
Thanks for the feedback guys. Seems like I will give legacy one a shot. Prob wait till he is one sale. Wonder if 3rd party company has made like an upgrade kit for the front of the tank mode to cover up more of the jet cockpit. I painted my blitzwings face. I don't think I will give this one up, unless I saw a legends one. But the articulation and toon accuracy is winning me over so far
I don't own either titans return or legacy, but if I had a choice between the two I would choose titans return which you already own. Personally I wouldn't 'upgrade' because it really isn't an upgrade at all. I guess it depends on how bothered you are by legacy's jet mode. Titans return looks decent in all 3 modes and feels complete, but as far as I'm concerned legacy blitzwing only has two modes so it's incomplete. And they wasted budget on those throwaway garbage hands. Chefatron did a video comparison on titans return and legacy blitzwing and he was leaning towards favoring the Titans return.
Keep the TR one regardless if you get Legacy or not. Edit: oops. Saw the update. Thought this thread was new lol
