Opened mine yesterday and I notice one of the ankle tilts don’t move. Not sure what the issue is. Any tips to get it moving? Would like to avoid going to Hasbro’s CS or exchanging at Target since there doesn’t seem to be any other issues with my copy, but if I must…

Edit: if anyone wants a ~$50 clearanced Blackout my Target has plenty to go around. PM for proxy. Doing up to 5 for now.
Proxied out, but might do a few more later. Check back for an update tomorrow

    All gone.

Welp if anyone has clearanced blackouts near them I'd be down to buy one!

Out of luck in my area, so looks like I completely missed out:( .

Working on articulating 2 of the fixed blades on his weapon so it collapses better.

Never saw him here in store at all. Not shocked, but it was nice seeing the previous mpm's mostly in store.

Yeah some of the targets I visited didn’t even have tags for him. Apparently the last ones must have sold poorly here Because last and only one I ever saw was starscream.

My area sucks in general for stocking anything above a voyager price.

I'm not even sure I ever saw the recent MPM Prime.

As you may have guessed, I started ordering overseas (after Target lost my Starscream in the mail for over a month).

Mine just came in, but one of the smaller blade came broken. Not sure what type of material it is made out of so don't know what type of adhesive I should get to fix it.

Same never saw Blackout at my local Target and never saw bb Prime from memory. Last one I saw was Ratchet and Starscream (regret not getting him when he was $50)

    Love it! Love it!

Came to look for any knowledgeable & BRAVE customizers, on tips to do two possible mods. Maybe 3...

    1.) H
ow the Wei-Jang had, remove the back pack(the tail part) so that it can be re-attachable(I don't mind parts forming).

    How to go about this?
    Are there two pins?

    Here's a Photoshopped What if
    [IMG]

And the front skirt. Feels there are many ways to tackle that part, but I would like to take of the gray flap/skirt out.

Preservation of the grey flap itself would be neat. But, would the connector(the one that connects the legs to the torso) how to make sure it will be fine. From looking at it, taking out the pin just affect the grey flap and aid in an easy removal.

Preservation, also of the long pin, would be neat... or somehow make the grey flap re-attachable for transformations... even if it means to split the grey flap in half and so that can slide it from its respective side? But I wouldn't want the grey pin just being there...

Should I aim for a small pin? Or leave the long pin, hmmm so many ways.

Also, Metallic Sharpies are rad, especially for these realistic, metal-like Bayformers

I don't need the blast effects this guy came with, so I'm just going to throw them in the garbage.

    Unless...

You want to send me $10 and I'll toss them in a padded envelope for you. PM me if you're interested.

Also thinking of modding the outer toes to swivel to give him wider feet. I'm about done with modding the rotor weapon to collapse more so it looks better on his back, check it out a couple posts above. I want to start a mod thread for him.

    TL DR at bottom

Update to my frozen Blackout ankle tilt if anyone cared. I was trying to unscrew the legs to disassemble the ankle joint. Couldn’t do it as one of the screws was stripped and I didn’t have the tools to deal with that. I’ve been trying to forcibly get the joint to move, but it wasn’t working out so I just put it on the shelf until I knew what to do with it. I went to Hasbro CS about it to see if they could send a replacement. Classic “we don’t have any replacements to send, but you can return for a refund” even though they’re in stock on pulse. The refund amount of $49.79 didn’t even cover sales tax and other cost associated with me to ship it out so I wasn’t going to bother. Figure I was better off selling it for more than $49.79 or something than return it for a slow refund. Just yesterday, I picked blackout up for the first time in a week to put it back in the box. I moved the frozen ankle a bit and I hear an audible snapping sound and the ankle tilt moves!?! I guess some bit of plastic or dried paint/glue broke and enabled me to move the damn joint after all this time.

Sorry to everyone that wanted a clearanced mpm blackout and didn’t get one from me. My Target just didn’t have enough to go around.

    TL DR
Me forcing the frozen joint to move and having it stand on the shelf for about a week enabled me to snap whatever thing that was keeping the ankle pivot from moving. It works now and Blackout will live in his box coffin in storage

    Minor/Repaint: - MPM-13 Blackout

Just realized I named it the same as this thread, so I'll probably change it.

I finally got a chance to open mine, thanks to AlvinC for hooking me up. I knew he was shorter than MPM Megatron so in my head I was kind of expecting him to be small? Not the case at all. This thing has a heft and bulk to it that I don’t think any other MPM has. Really like this, but I think I’d definitely feel different if I’d paid $160/170 for it. I appreciate the blast effects, but they do feel a bit ‘kids toy’ for something marketed as an adult collectible. Also is it just me, or are his miniguns just a scaled down port of the one included with MPM Starscream?

I just transformed him into alt mode for the first time, dry. No instructions, no video help- transforms pretty fluidly, and really holds together well.

Looks absolutely gorgeous. The tail ramp feature is great and works well, Scorpy fits perfectly. I love how the miniguns attach, they look awesome.

I wish the landing gear retracted, but that's about the only negative I can see. I love my Wei Jiang Hide Shadow, but this one is better in about every way except for being smaller.

Got mine in from the In Demand Toys sale, and it's a spectacular figure. This is the kind of toy I've wanted since 2007, absolutely brilliant.

    aibjp8.jpg 20230119_172147.jpg

Also, the tail is stupid easy to remove. The plate Scorponok attaches to on the back? Just remove those four screws and boom. No pins, and a mushroom peg. Entire tail section comes off and you can barely tell it's missing. Couldn't be easier. Almost feels intentional.

I just got one of these off of mercari sealed and unfortunately the rotor looks like it broke and half of the propeller blades are not attached. It looks like I'm going to have to do some Robo surgery to try and reattach them. Have any of you removed the rotor and Blades fully? Anyone know how it's attached? Thanks in advance
