As I didn't see anything for this figure aside a few posts, I'll just create a quick one to showcase it...

My first impression is that for a simpler line, it's quite an original figure.I have not watched the show, and only seen the trailers for it, and not sure if or when I will or would, so I am all about the figure and not the character.

It was the only one from this line that had grabbed my attention and I was lucky enough to find a single one at a local Walmart.

After a few days with it, I have my pros and cons:
    Pros:
    • Fully articulated except for wrist rotation. I love the design of the feet.
    • Very little gaps, not one that's prominent except for the weapon piece, so it's a solid figure overall.
    • Very interesting design and the alt mode really stands out well as a fun toy
    • They even considered a place in the back for storage of the weapon in robot mode.
    • Transformation is fairly simple (but one defect - see below for the fix)
    • Great light piping and nice head sculpt.
    Cons:
    • The plastic is quite decent but it's the harder type that's usually used in the lower lines.
    • The legs articulation (all of them) were very loose out of the box, I had to floor polish them, and now it's all good.
    • The arms articulation (shoulders) feels tight but something feels off and the resistance is worrisome as if it's putting too much pressure and it's causing some "push back" as you move them.
    • Transformation for the front section pushes on something, so the front of the alt mode pushes down, and makes the tabbing of the foot parts a bit difficult as this pressure pushes against it. ( -see below)
    • The front part does not tab in anything in robot mode, it just sits there. For alt mode, you have to get the tabs in which can be difficult due to the defect
    • The gun is empty, doesn't tab the best in the alt mode... that's the one part that they could have done better.
It reminds me of a cross between Bumblebee and Windblade in some ways.

    20221208_194344.jpg

I love those "dragonfly" wings that feel that you get his alt mode being able to use them for fast flight, and they fold for hovering or landing.

    And now, the "fault":

The front of the alt mode, which is the chest part, needs to flip up. There is a resistance and it refuses to stay straight. Because of this, you have to apply pressure to get it to hold and during transformation, it makes it very annoying and getting the feet tabs in place is a bit of a struggle.

The problem is this: they molded some indents/bumps where the part folds. I gather it's just for esthetics as they appear meant to close off possible gaps. Trouble is, they are just a bit too thick.

So, the solution is simple: grab a blade, slice a thin layer off on both sides.

So just next to the black hinge part, these things are small, so it's really a question of a very small tolerance issue, but enough to create the pressure that really is problematic.
    20221209_111245.jpg

I sliced off something as thin as a sheet of paper on both sides:
    20221209_111318.jpg

The results were instantly seen. The part now holds straight and with nothing putting pressure on it. 20221209_111402.jpg

The transformation was much easier as I didn't have to fight with holding the part in place at the right angle to get the tab to get to hold on both side, without the pressure, everything tabbed easily and solidly... this does have an impact on the figure and the transformation, it makes things better, there is zero negative impact here. 20221209_111708.jpg

My general take on this figure, once you fix the defect and solidify the legs articulation, it's a very solid little figure that's really outstanding. It's a neat alt mode, and with the articulation of the robot mode, it's definitely a figure that I will pick up and play with quite a bit.

Loving the articulation and balance on it... Few figures have such a range.

You’re not the only one; Twitch (and Thrash whenever he comes out) is the only Earthspark figure(s) I want from this first wave of the toyline

I’m really fond of the color and alt mode, rushed out to get one today and had to promptly return it.

No photos, but the ball joint the shoulders are on is dimpled to aid posing, but the plastic is too rigid and when I moved it it split clean in half straight from the top of the socket.

After I returned it I checked the others cause I honestly still want one but they ALL had visible stress lines in that exact spot on both shoulders.

Only upside is that I’m sure the joint, even split, would have held the arm on for many years with gentle play but for $25 on day one that kind of break doesn’t sit right with me.

I actually am in agreement with you that out of the first wave of these 3 between her and Bee and Megatron she is my personal favorite most poseable of all of em and so cute and very unique alt mode. Also love her in the show too.

I’ll… wait for a Core Class version, someday. I hate how big the newbies are. I understand why they did it, but I don’t personally care for way out of scale toys.

I really tried to see what you meant on my copy. The arms are fairly solid (the legs had to be floor polished as they were seriously loose at the hips and knees), to the point where the resistance has a bit odd feel to it, possibly overly tight to ensure stiffness, and I do feel a bit of warpage that represents the ball isn't perfectly symmetrical, which maybe is what you mean by "dimpled".

But as far as stress marks or anything, I don't see any at all on my copy, so can't be sure of which part you mean.

    .
    .

But aside that, anyone else applied the fix I suggested to relieve that stress while transforming? I'm curious to hear if it helped anyone.

Chiming in with the hopes that others will consider this figure. Retail price on it felt a bit too much, but I was pleasantly surprised with what it had to offer (big compliment coming from someone trying to find common interests with current TF offerings and not really succeeding).

Character-design wise she has the best attributes of other flight girls like Shatter and Windblade. Toy-wise, she compacts into a convincing enough drone, albeit in her own scale not really pairing her wavemates. Do hope that some 3rd party or Reprolabels will come through with swords she can actually wield and more color accentuations to make her more show accurate

Probably wasn't intentional but the plastic this figure uses has its advantage. Most collectors would reasonably avoid it, but here it lends to an extremely lightweight and posable figure. Managed to stand her up on one foot every time with no balancing issues

    ------------
@imfallenangel addendum: if you have the time, I highly recommend the show. Nice breath of fresh air for TF lore and a wholesome side of the franchise

Surprisingly solid figure. Pretty on part with SS/Generations Deluxes imo.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I do wish this figure was smaller. Like Core class.

I hope the character proves popular enough that she gets a 3P Legends-scale version.

    Pros:
    * Robot mode is a very appealing design, and does a good job conveying the childlike nature of the character
    * Articulation is pretty good, with good range on most joints. The back blade-wings and rotors add to the posing possibilities as well.
    * Drone mode is novel, and looks like more than a robot wadded up, but admittedly not by much.

    Cons:
    * Some of the joints in the legs are looser than I'd like, which also tends to have something move other than the part you intended.
    * Transformation is simple enough, but getting the drone mode all tabbed together can be a chore.
    * The little claw-feet on the underside of the forearms can get in the way of other kibble, and are too close to center-line in drone mode to sit stably without tipping easily.

Overall: I think if you enjoy the character and/or its visual design, you can probably enjoy the toy well enough to look past its faults.

The dimple is just the unevenness.

The part is the red component that clips on to the shoulder ball. The part that looks similar to a football shoulder pad was split all the way to the top clean through. The ones on the shelf were all still intact but had varying levels of white stress line at that same spot. Some subtle, other more pronounced.

Is there a fix for the floppy unlocking chest yet? It’s a pretty good figure mostly but that chest just sitting there kind of spoils it for me.

You can take the little gray piece that the arms clip to for drone mode, and (in robot mode) pull it forward against the front edge of the 'collar' opening. It doesn't lock anything down, but it does add some resistance.
