Hmm. Sure there are G1 figures who have never been remade, but even the likes of Crossblades, Rollout and Chainclaw featured in the comics, and the no-mark Micromasters like Hubs and Oiler got a wide distribution and were seen (and bought) at mass retail by kids in stores across the planet. As I said before, a lot of Transformers fans outside of the Americas had no way to know the Omnibots even existed until the late nineties.

I mean, NewAge may well release some Omnibots down the line, but as with their Straxus or Elita One it could well be the case that - as lesser-known characters - the Omnibots will just end up as retools of other, more popular, figures.

But I sincerely hope you get your wish that new-mould Omnibot figures are released by NewAge.

And on that note, I realise we’ve veered wildly off-topic in a seeker thread so happy to continue this tangent in DM’s for the sake of everyone’s sanity.

And back on topic, of course I’ve pre-ordered the hell out of the new Thundercracker and Skywarp. Nearly enough parts for a second space bridge soon!?

13C was clearly MP52 inspired but Thundercracker and Skywarp don't seem to match up as well with their masterpiece counterparts. NA Thundercracker's blue seems a little too light but they did change the black into a charcoal grey. Obviously NA Skywarp is missing his purple shoulders but even the purple should be lighter as well. I'll wait for in hand pictures for final judgement but it looks like to me that they swapped out the head and repainted the torso while leaving everything else the same as their original release. I like the consistency with the greys across both TC and SW but much prefer the golden cockpit - I'll likely swap mine out.

My SG Screamer is arriving soon, half the reason I bought it was to give my Skywarp a nom-screaming expression - I am ok with smiles and smirks but screeming is too much.

Question: How to switch the heads? Just pop from balljoint? I ask because I am scared to break the balljoint post...

Also fun fact: Got my NA seekers by accident - I bought an SG NA Prime and seller sent me NA seekers instead, love them, sold my jinbao set, but sadly the ugly face for skywarp plagues the original set as well o.o

    THIS.

I’ve been waiting patiently for a dark-blue EX Thundercracker since the mold first released. Gold eyes, black face, plenty of tampos. And the original head sculpt, please— not this new MP-52 monstrosity. I’d happily pick up an EX Skywarp, too, even though I usually don’t double-dip on molds.

Obscure unless you collected TF toys in the mid-80s. Back then they were coveted. I’d love to see NA release the Omnibots— probably more than any other S1/S2 characters.

But if your TF fandom is based on the Sunbow cartoon, then yeah, they may fly under your radar.

Take out the screw behind the head, and slide out the front half of the head. The head is made up of 2 parts, and which part is which should be obvious (just follow the seams).

As someone who preordered/prepaid all 3 of the new Takara MPs, and regrets that immensely, I can tell you that Newage's Skywarp colors are pretty close to the actual final colors that Takara used.
They look terrible, but Newage matched them pretty well. That bait and switch was the final nail in the coffin for me ever buying Takara again.

The screws were in reference to the new MP52 inspired head. To remove the original head, you're going to have to just pull/pop it off the ball joint.

Well thats disappointing! Looking at in hand pictures rather than the promotional pictures, I see that you're definitely right with the purple.

Still hopeful Newage can match the Thundercracker blue better as well as the purple shoulders. In this image, the "black" on Skywarp looks a little more charcoal grey as well.

I collected TF toys in mid 80s and also watched the cartoon, I don’t remember ever seeing anything about them. Oh well

Shame that NA missed the opportunity to give us a definitive recolour of these two guys too.
Still - as half-assed as they come - they look enough like an improvement to me personally, to justify the swap.

Yeah, I probably would have picked up Skywarp if they gave him a new head. The original with the weird screaming face could be replaced.

    (SOLD) Hey all,

I guess this is as good of a time as any, but I'm gonna finally sell my extra MIB Newage H-13 original release Starscream. I got it as a 3-pack when I bought Skywarp and Thundercracker but I already had Starscream. Up until now I've just held onto it but I really don't need it so if you want it just pm me.

I'm still hoping that they do a proper cartoon accurate box set.

100 bucks for Samael on BBTS.

I just looked on ShowZ, no price. But the most recent (?) Lucifer is only 50.99 before S+H.

I wonder if/why anyone goes to BBTS for these guys anymore?
