They’ve said they have about 5 years of story/releases planned out already. Next year’s GCon excitement is Red Star and Noble Bear. Since those factions are “assembled ragtag” warriors and mercenaries, I think you’ll see a variety of possible species (and therefore molds) represented. The fact that they did an entire skeletal horse really indicates that they are more than willing to layout the cash for new mounts to be created. The comic book showed one of the heroes riding on the back of a bull or bison or some large horned creature. I think they are aware of the reception that the D12 mounts have received in the community. (Side note: if we get an ox or bison in the main line, will Paul Bunyan and Babe be too far off in Figura Obscura?) Holding off until January 1 to order this wave (and Monster Force fromBBTS). Gotta make sure I get my travel points on the credit card in 2023!
So now the troll replacement heads...will include both heads. Yes, you're going to get a replacement pack that includes the head that's already included with the figure. I mean great for the extra but whatever is going on at their factories is weird. Glad issues are related to these reruns and not the brand new figures.
This video explains why two heads are being shipped out for the trolls. Apparently the factory used the old hard-plastic insert in the head which will cause swapping off the ball joint to be almost impossible. The new heads will have a softer insert. The vid also explains how to get the installed head off.
I think the reissue Ice Troll's white color is neat, but conflicted on how different it looks compared to the first release when it's supposed to be a "reissue"? The head stuff is annoying enough that I'm feeling a little better about not getting in on the order.
I've been working on a new dio for Mythic Legions figures, but may have made the steps a bit too narrow... they have to side step down DSC_0337.jpg by offrampclimber, on Flickr
Looks like March at the latest for the video game kickstarter figures. "The New Year brings news on the War of the Aetherblade figure wave! Hold on to your seat – both the Orc & Elf Deluxe Legion Builders AND the Gorgo vs. Attila 2-packs are ready to be picked up from the factory by our fulfillment team! What does that mean for you, our loyal & extremely patient backers? It means the figures will be taking a little boat ride across the Pacific and then trucked across the US to our distribution center. All the other physical rewards including the faction Sigils, T-shirts, maps are in the works and will be ready to ship once the figures arrive! If all things go to plan you should have everything in your hands by March! We know it’s been a long wait…we promise they will be worth it!"
I'm about a month out from seeing how close the Unknown One and the Metal Wolf look together, patience is a virtue they say
I want to know how they're going to deal with the autographed figures. From what I recall the first set of Gorgo/Atitila preorders will all receive the two-pack autographed. I hope this warehouse is near New Jersey and they aren't shipping tons of figures back and forth.
I think those were a separate tier and only a couple hundred of those were bought. Assuming here but I would think the figure portion would go right to the 4HM warehouse, sign what they need to sign and ship out from there since they have the infrastructre in place already.
I forgot about that. Easiest option would have had the box or clamshell pre-signed but whoooowee. I think once all is said and done, the 4HM are going to rethink farming out figures to other partners due to the challenging logistics. The intent was for this to be wholly managed by the video game development team, but 4HM still is on blast related to delays and if the game team drops the ball on fulfillment, 4HM will still hear all about it.
I swear the first one anyone ordered was going to be signed as well, extras at the $100 tier wouldn't be signed, and if you wanted extra signed versions you could pay $120. I can't find it on the Kickstarter right now though. I'll ask on the Cabal. edit: This is from a Kickstarter update, so I guess I'm wrong about it: "This is limited to 1,000 pieces - so act fast! You can manage your pledge if you’ve already backed and switch to the $120 tier - that will grab you one signed 2-Pack, and any additional 2-Packs you add-on will be $100 and you can add as many as you like! Only one will come with the signed and numbered certificate."
Finished painting my half giant today. Didn't do too much to the accessory pack, except to match it more to the paint scheme I went with on the cuffs and bottom half. I do wish the 4H had included in the accessories a different belt for the ogres; the 2-bone design gets repetitive. That nearly completes my customs on the deluxe legion builders. Just need to do something with the skeleton.
FOUR HORSEMEN STUDIOS on Instagram: "Breaking news! We have just added some new parts to the Sir Elijah and Sir Gideon Heavensbrand 2 figures from the Mythic Legions: Necronominus wave! While these new additions may be small, we think they make a pretty big impact. We are of course talking about the armored loin pieces shown in these photos. Both of these figures come with premium soft goods covering their chest armor and falling below their waist. Previously we had shown images of these figures minus the soft goods so fans could see the bodies underneath for pop-and-swap and customizing reasons. Doing that made us realize that, while the armored body below looks great, it needed a plastic loin piece to cover the exposed hip area. That is what we are showing here! Both of these figures, which are up for preorder now at StoreHorsemen.com, will now come with their removable soft goods pieces, as well as this piece of loin armor to complete the armored base body underneath! The Mythic Legions: Necronominus preorder at StoreHorsmen.com ends next week, so head over and secure your heroic knights and undead soldiers today! #mythiclegions #necronominus #mythiclegionsnecronominus #knight #sirgideonheavensbrand2 #sirelijah #fourhorsemenstudios" Four Horsemen posted that they're added some groin pieces to Sir Elijah and Sir Gideon so they don't look weird if you take the soft goods off. Really glad they added those little pieces; makes the armor out of the package so much more usable.
Illythia Wave finally here from BBTS, I got one of everything aside from the Wings and the brown hands/feet add-ons. I have to say, I kind of want more Vargg now, might have to nab a few more of this troop builder for a small army of vampire imps. I am so pleased to have gone all in for this wave and could afford it, seriously can't wait for more stuff to drop, but my wallet says it can wait, it wants to wait. And Cosmic Legions Wave 1 is supposed to be out soon too... or is that going to show up after the War of the Aetherblade stuff mentioned above? I think it's high time I just dropped every other toyline and stuck to Mythic Legions, a legion of demons, vampires, dwarves and the like would look so much better on the shelf than some of the other lines I've gotten. Then again, I kind of wish the Cartoon D&D figures would fit in better once those show up in my next shipment. My only complaint... my fingers hate the armor pauldrons, trying to push those posts into the back holes always causes me pain.
Glad you like those so much. I ordered very light on the initial pre-order, but generally made up for it at LegionsCon. Normally, we’d have had an ISS by now, but I think those will be a ways off for the foreseeable future. They are so busy doing current order fulfillments that they can’t quite take the time to clear out their older stock. Cosmic shipping from China is now delayed until April, with shipping out of NJ to us to be in May/June. All Stars 5+ jumped the line as a result.
I was gonna say that time seemed to fly pretty fast…haha. I’m glad you will at least get to be able participate in some of this stuff over there.
