Yeah, it was quick. The guys at Chosen Prime ship fast. I have the G1 set and I have the MPs. This is a departure from that using the IDW versions. I skipped out on the Haslab because I do not need a figure that's similar to the other offerings.

 

What's the installation process like for the new parts on Kadmos?

Its easy. The only issue I had was trying to figure out if the springs went back in. The video doesn't show the springs being reinsert. The legs are tight now.

 

Looks like ShowZ should be shipping soon. I just got the email to pay the balance on my preorder.

Just got mine in. Been waiting ever since this thing was announced! Amazing quality feel which although I like the Haslab, this thing just feels so much more quality. Will play more tomorrow..

 

Took forever to get all the screw covers in....

 

I need ShowZ to hurry up and ship this thing out. It looks so good.

 

It looks really good in hand and I totally get some of the design compromises in order to make the combinations work and stuff but I just don't know about this one yet... this is leaving me really underwhelmed so far. Nothing ratchets in Nemios at all.

Looks good. The robot mode ankles are also very weak on my copy, as are the joints in the 3 part feet, which all makes him very wobbly and hard but not impossible to keep standing and posed. The shoulders feel pretty loose as well but they're serviceable. It gets in its own way a lot, especially with the lion main and the head articulation. The weapons are all nice looking but I wish they were designed to be a little more versatile like if they had fold out handles so they could be held in hand. The hip guns are goofy and I wish they were able to sit closer to the body but I can forgive it.

I transformed Nemios to lion mode so far and it was a very easy sequence but sweet baby J are some of the joints tight, especially the folded up rear lion legs. Other stuff doesn't seem like it pegs in how it is meant (backs of the robot legs after you collapse them). No face cover for Nemios robot mode head when going to lion is very disappointing, unless I'm missing something. The hip guns don't really seem to have a place to go in lion mode which is also irritating; I managed to peg them into either side of the big gun so they just barely tuck in next to the other left and right back cannons but it doesn't feel like this was intended. A couple extra peg holes that were placed on the lion hips or on the wings would have been nice here.

I've installed maybe 50% of the screw covers which was a painful experience physically and mentally so maybe I'm just frustrated from that and I'll feel better later.

 

I was cursing up a storm getting those screw covers in! Especially the gold ones...

 

Man .. I am not a fan of how they notched the back sides of so many of these. I get the idea was to help with the visual alignment but with out the covers being tapered or something to help them self-guide as you pushed them in the result was just an insanely frustrating time trying to get the covers all the way in. I usually don't even mess with covers because I'm not that picky about the appearance but PX really likes to just mold a single part for both the left and right so it was very noticable in places like the robot hips.

I lost count how many times I dropped a cover and it fell straight into another dimension. I recovered then all so far... eventually.

 

I gotta say I'm feeling slightly underwhelmed with the combined mode. Between kadmos' shoulders/elbows not being able to hold up the added weight of the armor and the lion head not wanting to sit securely to the chest, I can't help but feel like the combination couldve used more tweaking.
I may be missing something, but I believe most of the problems are just with star sabers joints in general. Other than those nitpicks the rest of the figure is decent enough.

 

Combined ship mode just for looks. The connection points are not that strong and not as playable as haslabs.

but it does look good and “sits pretty” if that’s what you want it to do!

 

Yeah, exactly the same experience but I still quite like the figure. I also found that the feet can be adjusted to sit up flush against the calves and in doing so it improves his stability immensely.

 

Mine arrived today!
So far the plastic feels good, lovely amount of joints and love the gold paint. Not a fan of the zero ratchets but the joints are stiff enough. Will try the alt modes tomorrow. So far I’m liking him!
