Not that I’m complaining (I guess I am tho), but by the time TCP gets their shipment Takara will be on Magnus 3.0 :tumbleweed:

Have there been any updates on TCP? Was supposed to arrive around December 20 from what I previously heard. Never quite understood why it was delayed to them in the first place. I even got my Jive from TFSource in a reasonable time before Christmas.

It’s was posted not too far back that there was a logistics issue. The preorder calendar has also been updated to reflect January. If it wasn’t for free shipping and no sales tax I would have moved my order to BBTS by now.

I don't know for sure, but I think on larger items, they use ocean shipping instead of air. They get ThreeZero stuff a month or two after everyone else, and I have to assume that's why.

Thanks, I knew there was a delay but they said 20 days and that was a month ago and I never saw anything else. I did see the January date on the website when I looked earlier.

The nomination round is now complete and Commander Stack is now running for 3P Toy of the Year over here: Third Party Year in Review 2022

Plus some other toys. Kind of surprised that Commander Stack is fighting it out with FT Rig for the top prize. I like Rig, but he's no Ultra Magnus. Oh, and the Reformatted and Legends scale toys are kicking MP's ass. I guess Masterpiece scale really is dead?

I didn't quite get the love for FT Rig either... I mean, he is nice, sure. A bit of a goofy mo'fo, though that's just his original G1 design, but is he really the best Fanstoys release of this year? o_O

Masterpiece scale is definitely dead...I saw the poll results and I am already boxing my collection up. It had a good run, but now it's time to move on.

In essence, rig was a "perfect" release. Toon looks, great paint, good transformation and alt mode.

He is very lacklustre over all, articulation etc is very dated but it achieved what it set out to do very well, no QC issues and no dramas. Not my pick for sure but it was a solid figure.

I love stack, it's my figure of the year but seeing broken tabs and waist flaps I can see why people chose a safe release as their figure of the year

I wouldn't call Rig "lacklustre" at all. IMO he was very colourful & lively. He got my vote.

I meant in the overall scheme of releases. He's a great figure but he does nothing surprising. His transformation is basic, well done but not doing anything not seen before. It's about as average of a fanstoys release as possible. Again that's not a bad thing but he's just not pushing any boundaries. As I said, he's a perfect figure and a great candidate for a figure of the year because of it.. but it was also a very unsurprising release in that it was exactly what you expected of if before it came out the box

Rig would me more of a disappointing release for me. So much lack of articulation and for no real reason either. Sure it looks great on my shelf, but it's almost a statue.

Rig? I mean yeah, he's OK but figure of the year? Get the fuck outta here. There's at least 2 other ft figures released this year alone better than him.

Reminds me of when people made Apollyon figure of the year. At least this time the bot looks good.
