My god, everytime I jump back into KO MPs I'm blown away on why I even buy CHUGs. They are soooooo much bang for your buck.

Anyway, love that FansToys is getting KO'd. I would love to grab their Galvatron.

This is particularly the case when the pricing of retail/CHUG items has basically gone crazy.

The down side of the KO MP scene is that the good stuff is not released consistently or frequently... you never know when something will get a high-grade KO. Maybe next week, maybe never.

Could you elaborate a bit more? I think I know what you mean, (no quality control and they can drop at anytime) but I just want to be certain that is what you mean.

You could get a crap KO of something you're looking for, or never get one at all. It's hard to fill out a collection roster when the production of various characters is not guaranteed.

I gotcha. Yeah, I can see that. Although 1st and 3rd party don't guarantee anything either.

That's an interesting take on the GT/NBK/Jinbao/JJ/?etal Devastator - I see four drone bots and the two core leaders of the squad? ;)
I know wonder if this KO version will work with any of the other variant/versions? o_O

It would be nice to plan things out better.

For example I want to grab the BB Movie Ratchet OS, but I buy it with the assumption their will be a OS Wheeljack, Ironhide, Seekers, and Soundwave. Otherwise I don't know if I want it.

Thanks pal! I'm not super happy with how the wing symbols turned out; there is quite a gap in the wing pieces and it doesn't serve the symbols well. I might try again another time.

KO MPs are excellent, generally. The FT Thomas KO (and from what I hear, the Acoustic Wave KO) are smashing. The MP Wheeljack KO I have is great, Hound is pretty good, and Sunstreaker is perfect except that the pin that holds the doors on does not stay in. I highly recommend for, again, bang for buck.

As for FT Galvatron, I expect that will one day get a KO.

The fin and for the life of me I can’t get the silver train wheel bits to stay connected. Otherwise I agree, it’s preposterously good.

Is the fin supposed to have any altmode storage? Tried googling it once, but no luck.

Yeah! The unbranded KO MP figures are ok quality and mostly consistent, but there are still a few decos we've just never gotten (like Loud Pedal or the Sunstreaker variants, or any MP+ decos). There are 2 different companies doing the new MP Seekers, but no coneheads on the horizon. KO versions of 3rd Party MP-type figures are totally idiosyncratic. Astrotrain, Soundwave, Cyclonus... but no Blitzwing, Octane, Dinobots, Minibots... the selection is pretty random.

Exactly! Upscaled KO versions of CHUG figures sometimes exist to fill a niche... other times seem to be chosen at random. Some molds get knocked-off several times, while others never get copied. Just because you get one figure doesn't promise a complete set. Sometimes you get stuff that's quite amazing in terms of quality... sometimes it's Chinatown-grade cheap junk.

Just the usual KO collector blues, really. :)

To my knowledge, there's no storage for the fin. It's just an add-on if you want something more toy accurate, I guess? Fantoys is mostly concerned with Cartoon accuracy, so they didn't really care much about incorporating the chest fin into the design I guess.

Those little metal train wheels are a bit fussy, I agree. A minor thing really. The only thing that bugged me enough to get out a knife was his reduced neck articulation. The neck joint on the FT has more range, and the KO version can barely tilt up or down. I had to do a bit of cutting and sanding undeneath the head to give it a tiny bit more clearance.

A higher-end, pricier sort of KO. But damn good.

I need more "anonimous" KO transformers, 3ps and 4ps made good versions but the true funny products are the "anonimous" ones (IMHO)

Here's the KO Lego Optimus prime... pretty interesting... specially that the Logos of autobots are all there, there's not much difference with the original except the bagging of the pieces. Oh and also the price... i got it for 46$ Shipped! :D

Need your help folks, maybe my memory is failing me, but wasn't there a OSKO of the CW Protectobots that still uses the normal CW peg size?
