Tried posing my MP shelf for once. Tried rotating blasters bicep.

    Here is one.
KFC CST-13 Remix MP Flipside white tape for MP Scales Transformers Toy
The Shattered Glass KFC figure is there too, but w/o the tapes :)

lol and just in case anyone doesn't know who Flipside is..like me...
Flip Sides (G1) - Transformers Wiki

Dang.. I just loosened the screws on my arms just seeing that. Which vendor was it from? Maybe they have a test model laying around for parts.
Other option is finding a slightly longer tipped screw to use a splint, plow it right through; just so the tip of the spiked head screw is barely though the plastic. Like in the cyan dot here.

.. won't be like it was though (ratchet probably won't be torched), but the arm will be attached. Did something like this with MP-9 and his legs.. yes, both of them lol.
These tubed screw casts are a horrible design and a break point. Inconsistency in the plastic forumla can cause this too.

    Crud! :(

When I reworked the bicep rotation grooves to loosen it up and make the shoulder halves fit right, I noticed the plastic screw-in pegs had stress marks from the screws already.

The plastic could be a bit brittle.

Show.z. I already reached out, but it's out of stock on their site. Got it for that $60 deal which may not happen again. I'm just doomed to not have a blaster haha. And I did loosen all of the joints out of the box significantly yet this happened even while gripping the shoulder as leverage.

I'm hoping someone has a junker blaster or a blaster they don't want anymore that I can Frankenstein.

ShowZ should have some parts for you. It is a rarity for Showz to not be able to support replacement parts, even if sold out or in this case, having DS close up shop.

Playing with mine a little, I think the right arm turns less smoothly. It has that Fans Toys squeak (plastic rubbing on plastic) Not good. Took the arm off, added mineral oil to the screw cast / post and ratchet. Also I compressed the spring with some pliers for less ratchet torque. Did the same for all the major ratchet joints. Now all buttery and no squeaks.
    20221209_103934.jpg 20221209_105232.jpg 20221209_111015.jpg

Also added some mineral oil to the tape deck buttons and cassette deck inner chest mult-tape wall as well. More on that in another post.

I know this is probably not what you want to see AFTER the breakage, but as for your current situation while waiting / hoping for replacement parts.
I 100% think if you find the right screw, you can get that arm re-attached. A screw that is spike tipped and one that is almost perfectly diameter of the screw hole; and that is long enough to reach and partially breach the plastic wall of the other side. If the screw is too thick, it may further warp the existing post.
    For example 20221209_104912.jpg

A final thing that I did to this guy was add a clear coat to the current paint job. The matte was just too bland for me. They definitely needed a glossier paint. Man did I like the results. It is hard to tell in the lighting and with these pics, but it really pops on the reds and blacks.

This guy is finally ready to be placed up against RP-01/RP-46 . KFC Transistor stays with MP-13

What is with the insane price drops on the deformation space stuff? Did they have to dump surplus stock at a discount before going on the run or something?

Notice the $20 shipping though. It’s still inline with the ShowZ sale prices.

But yes, word is the price drop was due to BMB being on the KO kops radar, so they are dumping inventory. I thought I read at one time that the fines were related to the amount of KO material they find on premises.

Could anyone give me advice on how to open the chest of the figure? The middle buttons on mine are stuck in a halfway position, and the plate inside that should push the cassette is stuck hard. I tried greasing it a bit like someone in the thread did, but nothing budge and i think something's misassembled (especially since a screw fell off from inside the figure...). I don't care if i don't get the mechanism to work, i just want the buttons to be aligned, but i'm a bit wary of opening the figure blind since i'm not really a tinker/customizer.

Thanks in advance if anyone can give me some pointers (or point me to a related post/video).

I don’t think the middle buttons actually come up on their own. You have to pull them up to release the tape push mechanism to the next step and reset the black plate inside.

    see my previous post here.

Deformation Space DS-002 MP Blaster with Ramhorn

The picture shows the black plate steps that hold the tape mechanism.

If yours doesn’t look like that because you think it’s broken, I would not force the buttons up. They should be snug because of the mechanism pushing against the black plate catches but come up with a click.

It was your post i saw! Yep, i greased the points you marked.
I was still fiddling with it because it bugged me, i loosened the two screws inside (topside of the grey moving panel) and the two on the lower back of the figure and i'm not really sure what did it (probably the grease plus the chest having a bit more play) and the plate came unstuck, so i could push the button up!
The mechanism still doesn't work but as i said i'm fine with that.

It's a nice figure, i'm not really into cartoon accuracy but kingdom/legacy Blaster made me want a bigger Blaster, and at the price it was a no brainer. It feels solid (i didn't expect as much reading about the qc problems) but that paint scares me. Overall happy, tho.

    Thanks for replying!

Damn, my right shoulder has always been squeaky like that. This got me doing the same thing.

I actually found out on mine, the tip of the post was 'squished' and flanged out a bit, which made it hard to pull the arm off. I actually had to sand the edges down a touch in order to slide the arm back on. But did the same tricks, clicks around nice and clean now. Went ahead and cleaned up the other side (which slid right off) for good measure. Maybe it's a right-arm issue? I wonder if anyone else's squeaks FT-style.

    Thank you DS and ShowZ!

Noticed the red looks bold and crisp in person, very cartoon accurate.

In the pictures, the red comes out lighter though.

Very, very happy with this Blaster.

Additional facial expressions for the G1 cartoon head as well as a comic/toy head with multiple expressions would have been good but I realize DS/TE aren't into adding extra accessories.

    It has one extra face.

DS looks more like what I want from Blaster, rather than Fans Toys Recorder.

    Has that clean forehead.

I like the shoulders better too.

Only regret is I wish I had got two, so I could do a Twincast repaint like one of the members here did.

Bigger logo looks much better! Just working with what I have at the moment, which was the stickers ShowZ sent.

Mine is from a set of Toyhax logos:
    Symbols for Autobots (Clear backed)

It's rare to find a use for one that big. I usually run out of the smallest ones. Pesky Legends bots!
