Might be the last series to have them since 2023 is the BIG change.

I saw this annoucement this morning that it's slated as a "2023 gift with purchase."
Now if only they'd keep going by upgrading/updating the Blacktron 2 sets like the Allied Avenger.

Tiago (former Lego designer turned YouTube Lego reviewer) reported that the new Avatar (wave 2) sets switched over to numbered paper bags too for parts (changed from clear plastic). A slight inconvenience for those AFOLs (myself included) who tend to raid their official sets looking for specific parts to use in MOCs.

This morning, I built the zurg battle set. I liked it overall, but I still felt it left things to be desired, and could be way better if it wasn't zurg. Insert this evening, where i changed the chest to be more broken up, I changed the one dimensional nature of the back, I added some detail and car tires, and I gave it a new head. This is now a generic decepticon whom I have yet to give a name. PXL_20221229_055850207.jpg PXL_20221229_060206484.jpg PXL_20221229_055919389.jpg PXL_20221229_060700024.jpg

My planned first 2023 buy, 31208 Hokusai The Great Wave. Perfect addition to my The Starry Night.

Might swap out the wooden frame with a black frame to match the rest of my wall decors. Where's the best place to get the individual pieces? Does the Lego brick-and-mortor store have?

What an awesome little house, and what great little $10 sets a whole series of these would make.

Instead they're GWPs behind a $200-or-whatever paywall. That's just sad, Lego.

I tend not to like micro builds as a personal preference (minifigure scale is my go-to) but that is a cool design.

So much for getting it period. There's simply no way I can hit 190, all I really want is the new TIE Bomber. It's sad, but paying like 2-3x what it's worth, by itself, would still be cheaper in the end...

Considering that all(?) the markings are stickers, not tampos---is it Bricklinkable? Is the canopy new or just rare?

I got my reward codes ready for midnight tomorrow. I had $40 worth, mainly because my son and I split the cost of the Loop coaster when double points were on.

Oof, that’s a high admission price. But on its own I guess it would be a $20-30 set.

I’ve been holding off getting Bowser and the Sanctum Sanctorum in case a high-threshold GWP came along, so I guess it’s time to bite the bullet on one of those…

I'm disappointed that Lego is trending towards more of these "rewards" style sets which are exclusively locked behind spending upwards of a hundred dollars at a time. Especially regarding classic themes such as Bionicle and unlicensed Space Exploration, which if properly reinvented would easily be slam dunks between old fans and newcomers.
