I apologise for leading you into temptation. Mostly

I think Magnificus & SG Magnus/Powered Convoy are the only two diaclone repaints left for me, and I'll wait for the price to drop on both of those I think

Yep, there were a few different generic types that filled different combat roles.
The other one that sprung to mind was the trooper based on the Runamuck/Runabout body type from the Devestation game, although not sure if that fits the Studio Series brief... They already have the figure though, so it would be a quick and easy repaint to churn out.

Your suspicions are correct! More details and sweet pics in the new year (hopefully  )

Would a Haslab Megatron be able to use a gun mode as it wouldn't be generally available for children to buy? Just include the general orange cap as an added difference?

Newage gave us a good idea what one could/should look like - shame it was a far east convention exclusive made in limited numbers.

As much as i love the general cw combiner design, there's something to be said about the heft and bulk of menasor, doing it as a commander and 4 deluxes instead of a voyager. Although his sword is more like a dagger so that got swapped. Just wondering if theres a way to put the pe articulated hands on this guy? Probably not. I'll end up giving them to dinoking most likely.

Good little trip out today, went to see Muppet Christmas Carol on the big screen with my sister, got 3 for 2 on Hot Wheels in the Entertainer, including a cool HW Concept KITT, then in TK Maxx found the Jada Toys KITT for £8 and LEgacy Kickback and Dragstrip for £13 each, all bought and added to the 'after Xmas' pile

Ohh i want Bazooka but I think I will wait for the standard version with the red T-shirt

Almost inevitably, but at £47 for the 2-pack, that couldn't be either of these, right?

    Menasors then.

They're certainly two very different takes on the character (and the teams as a whole). Both have their flaws, though arguably CW has more, even with upgrade kits.

He's not perfect but Legacy Menasor wins out by a fair margin. Hope the other Special Teams can receive a similar treatment!

A fun little diversion on the BBC website:

    What's your ideal Christmas toy?

I got 1986 first time. Was interesting watching the video that goes with it though for the top 10 toys for Christmas that year. Such a different age!

1997? That's what I get for not watching Blue Peter and thinking John Simpson would be a better dinner guest lol.

I haven't looked at the leak list, is Magnus specifically SS86 boxed? Because they'll want insane money for that and it'll shelf-warm between cost and the fact many are drowning in Magnus' already. Christ, those spoiler boxes could literally be floating around somewhere... so I'm basically saying I'll get him when he's cheap! As per :D

So… there’s going to be a Lego Bionicle GWP late January/early February for spending $100 (or GBP equivalent) on unlicensed themes like City and Ninjago. If anyone is planning to get Lego stuff for any of those themes soon, would you mind holding off and then selling me the gift? Bionicle holds a special place in my heart, but I don’t have enough sets I’d want to fill up that price threshold.
