Yet another reason why I wish they'd reissue the original. Transparent plastic just doesn't hold up as well.

 

You'd think there'd be enough demand for a reissue of the original that they'd act on it.

I mean, maybe? TA did a poll and found that most prefer the TT deco.

There are certainly a lot of fans here asking for a reissue - but even if 50 people are in here begging all the time (and there arent)- that's hardly enough to justify another run of several thousand pieces.

 

If that truly is the case, you'd think it would be easier to find people unloading their V1s in favor of the TT deco.

 

Makes me a little nervous about my copy that's on the way. I really wish I had a V1 as I actively dislike the clear plastic. But I also couldn't find the original for sale anywhere (even on the secondary), so it is what it is.

 

I also settled for the clear plastic one since tf safari had him on sale. Mine arrived with that same piece on the knee/shin cracked, fell off shortly after. If I find a v1 at some point I’ll grab it and replace the v2. But it’s not easy to find one. I don’t really like the look of the v2 compared to the v1. Someone suggested it looked better in person, it doesn’t.

My thoughts as well. I'd absolutely trade mine in for the V1 if I could, the clear plastic isn't dark or slightly opaque enough.

 

Ahh best to get that replaced. So far my experience with TA has been good.

 

Does anyone know the battery type to use and how to replace the battery for the gun?

It doesn't seem like there's any panel that opens and no obvious screws.

 

For posterity, you can remove the gun's muzzle, which allows you to split the gun in half lengthwise, exposing the innards to put in batteries. From measuring the dimensions of the space where batteries would fit in between the two terminals, it seems like 3 LR41 batteries would fit, though I've got to go buy and test this.

 

I just had one of the clips that hold the metal mid support for the hoverboard break. Do you guys think i could possibly glue it back on? My options are kind of limited as my wife got me this for Christmas from an ebay seller and I don't have high hopes for after sales support.

You should be able to glue that back on with super glue, and just handle it gently.

 

The Chosen Prime got some of these in stock. I asked which version is was and they claim it's the one with the opaque plastic. Ordered one, so I guess I'll see when it gets here. I expect to be disappointed.

 

I have the V2 version and I don't have issues. I don't mind the translucent plastic. Not my favorite Primal figure. I keep him on his skatebord/surfing mode.

 

And as I suspected, it's the V2. Will be returning it promptly.
