Yeah, I didn't get a Prime Arcee toy until fairly recently (the APC oversized knockoffs) and only then realized how much the show minimized or removed the kibble on her show model.

 

This is probably the one way I could see them doing her better than they did because of how TFP Arcee's bike sorta just vanished. Take the transformation of TFA Prowl, but put the bike cockpit on the back. Even then the original TFA and this version of Prowl is pretty broad shouldered so the people who have issues with that sort of design compromise for transformation would probably still find an issue with it. Kind of glad they didn't go that route even if it'd have been better simply because knowing Prowl is here and how I am verging on three of the Legacy Arcee mold, glad to have more variety in bike transformations.

 

I literally have no bad words about the Junkion. he looks fucking amazing and i will be getting multiple.

Prowl is *nearly* perfect. i knew they were gonna be G1nning the animated guys to an extent but damn he still almost looks like his animated self, just a bit thicker all around. i actually really like it!

his head sculpt is the only thing I have issue with really. its not *animated* enough, and even then it doesn't needs to have the animated giant chin ascetic. I think its more in the proportions. too much helmet, not enough face. (lol he kinda feels like Dark Helmet) and the whole thing could do with being a touch thinner overall.

edit: I really hope a 3rd party makes his sidecar armor.

 

For a G1 style animated Prowl, I like him. Bring on that jerk Sentinel Prime and the rest! 

 

Okay, then it's safe for you to remain content with that original version of Animated Prowl or wait for HasTak to make another version that you like...

Despite the slights from both fans (G1 and Animated) it looks like both sides can agree on this new version. Which makes me look forward to some more Animated characters G1-nified.

Meanwhile I like that Junkion as well. So I might buy a couple.

Happy with the variety in the Junkions, this one is great. Don't care for the Animated stylized look, but I'm happy for the TFA fans with the Prowl.

Lol now that we have some people complaining that he won't fit in with other Generations figures because he looks too 'Animated' and other people still complaining that he looks nothing like the original Animated design, I think they've finally hit the sweet spot for G1ification.

 

I was making a joke of sorts I crave this toy unlike any other evolution figure revealed, minus tarn

 

God that'd be awesome.

 

Prowl seems great. Pretty much exactly what I expect for translating characters to a G1 style: keep the design, just change the aesthetic. Actually surprised by how much chin he has, I was expecting something proportionally closer to G1 Prowl with shades, but this is more like Animated Prowl with G1 Prowl’s helmet.

Another win for the Junkions. Cannons look a bit odd, though, I wonder how exactly they function within the EvoFusion gimmick.
