Saw this listing from the vietnamese seller. Listed as retro Hound. I thought it was the buzzworthy, goodthing it was sold out

 

Great for those that collect these, but man, not for me. Give me newer articulated figures over there any day.

 

A favorite character for me (I love Jeeps)
but I remember how disappointed I was when I got the original because he ended up so small and unimposing due to the engineering of the figure. It seems to me that Has/Tak just cant get a Jeep based mold quite right, there\'s just always something \"off\" about it. Still, good to see Hound getting some love.

Ngl I gave a huge sigh of relief when I read \"no chromed parts\". Years of flaking and constant fingerprint cleanup absolutely ruined chrome for me, I\'m just not a fan of it anymore. 

 

Probably get two of this one, but I could really use a reissue of the original colors of this one as well, so I hope if they are dusting it off, they run that as well.

 

Wake me when they reissue the original colors. Between Generations and MP I've had enough toon accuracy. Unpopular opinion, I know.

 

hell yea, been wanting more g1 reissues! Already got most of the walmart reissues so pls bring on another wave!

See, when I think of G1 hound, this is how it should have been released, not in that bland boring scheme:

 

It kinda looks like that because the release pin marks are in front, which is unusual. But then so are the molded wipers. Looking at pictures of the Takara book-style reissue, that's how at least that version of the mold was.

 

If this is real i would definitely consider picking it up. Also this is how I find out siege hounds shoulder cannon is a reference to the toys shoulder cannon after all these years...

Y'know, I never knew that G1 Hound had the top of his head poking out of the hood all this time. Never owned any version of the toy, and clearly, never paid enough attention to the pictures of him, either.

 

going to guess the missles are disabled but all in all I like it. G1 hound is a fun toy that I already own but I wouldn't mind getting a second for my work desk.
