I just realized...those black prongs going up his chest from his belly are meant to emulate suspenders aren't they?

 

HONESTLY...while iI don\'t understand why they could let Wheeljack just keep his G1 head...I don\'t hate how he looks

but the glasses are so goofy it\'s an overkill lol
Still I expected worse and I do think they could have just keep his G1 head and modify it if they wanted a change

 

Why do they keep doing Wheeljack dirty design-wise in the live-action movies? They made him look like Number 2 from KND!  

Seriously, they had things perfect with the BB movie design! What happened here?

 

Y'know what? That look doesn't work for Wheeljack, but... I would TOTALLY buy that as movieverse Beachcomber.

Are we sure these are the SS deluxe and not the basics line like we had with the two Airrazors? Both designs look A LOT simpler less involved than SS BB and Battletrap we saw earlier.

REALLY dislike Wheeljack, why did they go back on such a great headsculpt from BB? The lips are super awkwardly pronounce, he looks like hes pouting here :/ I could KIND of get on board if the glasses split in the middle and fold out to form his antenna in the film. Otherwise he's looking just like a sexy-nerd version of crosshairs!

Nightbird looks really good, hope the actual film model breaks up the chest more though.

So the new guy is STARTing with designs as bad as the worst Bay got to (starting with dotm I thought the designs got steadily dumber each time around).

maybe I’ll change my mind, but regardless one of the best designed bots from G1 continues to get wrecked and ignored.

I actually might like Q better than this and they at least had the decency to rename him.

too early to say I’m losing interest, but they were fools not to grab Travis Knight again when he had wanted to do it.

 

I'm curious how wheeeljacks final design turns out. Currently I'm clueless as to how paramount thought people would like this

Ugh ..... Why did they name the van Wheeljack when we've already seen a perfectly fine Wheeljack in the Bumblebee movie? Except for the ridiculous head it's not a bad design at all... But it's not Wheeljack. They should have called him Tote or whatever.

Hasbro should put the designers from the classics line in charge of the movie designs as well. Not a bunch of Hollywood hacks.

I think the problem for me is that, off the heels of the excellent BBM designs. It just feels like they’ve name slapped for the sake of it. It just feels like a cash grab by a company that doesn’t care about any of the characters at all.

If they are new characters, call them new names. Doing this when the characters already had great in universe designs just makes it feel like the director wasn’t bothered.

Ill still watch it, its it might be good but its weird then some characters are recognisable and others just aren’t

 

I love how wonderfully nerdy Wheeljack is here. I just wish his face was better. I’ll have to see what I can do there when I get it.

But why?.. why use the character name.. I mean, the bumblebee movie studio series wheeljack IS wheeljack.. why do this? Surely there were other characters more befitting this design? I’m all for reinventing a character, but this seems to be a pure name slap.

After the scene on cybertron in the bumblebee movie, I thought to myself, finally, someone gets it. But this? This is just corny.
