Mine takes a bit of effort to get the effect into the hole. The entire clear part of the effect goes in on mine and holds pretty securely. If it's genuinely loose on yours, I'd recommend getting a piece of paper and wrapping it around the clear tube end that goes in the hole. Should be enough to give you the friction you need. Not really a fan of the Mothra effect, but I do appreciate the attempt.

This really is a fantastic set. If I had to state a negative, it's that the set really doesn't fit in well with any other line. It kind of has to be by itself for it to really WOW, otherwise it's just wow. I had it on a shelf with some revoltechs, gashopons, and some other misc Showa figurines. I ended up just putting the Mezco set by itself.

I have the Hedorah and Mothra sets on the way, and have the GvMechaG set pre-ordered. I'm all in. Hoping for two sets after that which would be a happy moment: first a GvMegalon set and second another DAM set with kumonga, varan, manda and the human and alien ships. I can dream.....

Kind of tilted upward. It's hard to describe in text.

    Agree @Alpha Omega Trion Supreme
Only thing is it was obvious they wouldn’t be made to display with other lines and I’m fine with that. What they are offering alone is pretty damn good and with the sets, we get a decent display without worrying about if anything else will come. I don’t know because I don’t have any yet but I think the Super 7 Re:action figures might be ok displayed together with these.

BTW, thank you and @Dr Kain for the tips on Mothra. I did just have to angle slightly downwards and then it fit just like the other ones. Nice, deep and tight, lol!

Oh that’s odd. I just posted that it worked but I had to tilt slightly down. The head is already tilted up so I mean relative to the head but if you mean overall compared to the ground then yes, it is tilted up because of the head.

My Mezco Hedorah and Mothra sets arrived. Very happy with both.

Both Hedorahs are great. City miniatures are great(hope we get more of these types of accessories in the future). Godzilla is.....ok. More to the point, what the DAM version was and the alternate parts and breath effect it came with make this look like a weaker effort. This feels more like an "Ooops, guess we need a Godzilla, throw this in". It's not that it's bad, it's just that you don't get a "regular" Godzilla with this set or any plug and play alterations. There's no normal head, so it's nothing but eyepatch G, and the leg pose it's in has difficulty standing flat footed without a base. I'd be more satisfied with it if he could at least hold the "eggs", which to me is a signature scene from the movie and a missed opportunity here. It sounds like I'm hating on it, I'm not. The DAM version just seemed to get Godzilla right, out of the gate. This feels too basic in comparison. Although the tail is in a real nice pose. I'm guessing the set's budget focused more on the Hedorah side of things, and there it does definitely succeed.

Mothra is beautiful. It feels more "alive" in a way the Revoltech didn't. Really like the "fuzz". Feels more authentic. Also doesn't seem as brown to me as she's looked in online pics here and elsewhere. The Twins are fine. Personally I'm far more partial to the island outfit twins. The box is nice and well thought out, but I don't have the display space for it.

Can't wait for the GvMechaG set.

Edit: Had to add that I didn't see any noticeable paint defects like I did in the DAM set.

Awesome! Looking forward to getting those too. My kid has been playing with the figures every day since I set them up in his room.

The Godzilla DLC pack for Gigabash was released this week. I don't know what the Steam price is, but it's $10 for PS4 & PS5, and the main game itself is currently on sale for $26.61 until Dec. 21st.

Thanks for posting this, I would have missed out on this otherwise.

Is Toho getting a little more lenient with the license?

LOL. Toho’s increasing their Western push, slowly, is all. I think the Legendary deal held them back from direct action long enough.

That is... a jump from what I was saying.

Hiya teased Ghidorah forever ago anyway.

No idea, but Toho has apparently hired some people who use to run Crunchyroll to help helm their new US division.

Does anyone know a shop still selling Hiya Godzilla fogure (not the statue)? I swear I had it preordered at BBTS long ago, but I just checked to see when it was expected, and was bummed to see I didn’t have it ordered and that its already sold out.

Yeesh, I haven’t even looked there yet. Maybe they’ll do another run at some point.

The main reason I want one is for my 11 year d daughter who is SUPER into Godzilla right now and Legendary is her favorite design of them all. I had the Neca figure that I let her have, and one day my other daughter (6) smuggled it to the playground and left it there. By the time we figured it out and went back it wasn’t anywhere to be found.

Are the Neca Godzilla KOs passable? Maybe I should just grab a couple of those.
