I’m a sucker for weapon/accessory storage so that throne is a blessing. I wonder if it will be possible to store the blast effects in it?

Wasn't there some comment during the reveal video where they commented that Deathsaurus almost wasn't worth it without the throne or something? I can't remember if that was true, but being able to hold all of his accessories (barring the Breast Animals) really does make that throne a lot more useful than it first appeared. I mean, the Nemesis throne can also hold stuff, but if I remember right it can only store Starcream's Null Rays and doesn't have places for the shoulder pads and crown.

I don't think that's something he ever did on the anime, but I do like that that option is there.

If you don't have Pulse Premium, Deathsaurus is about $220 shipped, to be charged Monday. TFSource is about $245 shipped, to be charged in 10-11 months.

Key to disregard the date tfsource is using as they have DS arriving march of 2023 whereas as we all know it’s actually fall 2023

If you know you’re going to make the purchase, it makes financial sense to use credit now (and pay MSRP) instead of cash a year later (and pay eBay mark up).

Credit is simply a financial tool that can be used wisely or foolishly.

    How is your Victory Saber?
I only ask cuz a couple people in the other thread for VC are so disgruntled by their (mostly ignorable imho) QC issues to the point where they’re backing out of supporting Deathsaurus.
    I’m just hoping they’re a vocal minority.
And definitely a minority cancelling their Deathsaurus. I really want this guy and his little chair too. :D

I don't really want to rag on people who're displeased with their Victory Sabers, partially because I'm sure they were expecting that for the price they were paying there ought to be a bit more care. That, and I can totally understand people being annoyed that the way a toy is packaged can actually damage it (e.g. wasn't there some complaint that Laser Prime had a similar problem with plastic ties rubbing off paint?), since that's... that's not cool, yo.

Now if we're talking things like misassembly or joints being floppy...

All things I know. However, what I also know is habits, especially spending ones, are hard to break or change. Once you get used to doing it, you do it more. Then you start forgetting about it, and before you know, you have debt more than you can pay.
It is not all prudent to go down this path unless you were absolutely in an emergency state. Even then, a line of credit is probably much safer, but again only in emergencies or making a much larger purchase such as a car or something, as that in essence is an infrequent purchase for the average person.
As @octobotimus said, doing this for a toy is silly and, I'd even dare to say, a sign your life priorities are a bit off.

    But hey, not my money.

I'm heading up from work to check right now. I'm less concerned with aesthetic than structural defects though. I can't fix plastic...

    • Yuki-san wanted it to be as big as Victory Saber.
Good decision Yuki, him being smaller than Victory Saber would be really lame.

As I stated in the feedback and VS thread, I got mine in Michigan yesterday and went through all the modes. My chrome is perfect, my QCs are very negligible: I had to trim a very tiny a sliver off the dark gray foot piece on one of the feet to remove a little excess that prevented the foot plugging in all the way; an extremely minor fix. I have a little paint bleed on one of the yellow bits of the pelvis, and up close, there's a slight issue at the top of the yellow V that I can't see from most angles and is covered by VSs foot in robot mode on the stand. I also had to struggle to swivel victory leos arms the first time, they were very stiff at first.

We'll probably hit 16k in the next hour and a half.

Awesome to see it compared to the G1 original, given how I recently got him via J-Subculture, now I have a better idea how big the new one will be. This will be a hard 1 year waiting...
Interesting how the dragon mode is the same, but he is a lot bigger as a robot. The weapons look awesome!

LOLed when he said "You see him sitting on his throne in the series many times". Well, I only ever got to about half of Victory, and that's ALL he did. Even Scorponok and Overlord were more hands-on than Deathsaurus, who is that "shogun type" anime villain, like the Machine Robo Revenge of Cronos main badguy, only ever getting off his buttplate last second and then being killed just as quickly. (Though I hear Deathsaurus at least gets some hits in before that, but he is far from active).

To put this another way, I'm sure that there are a lot of folks here who have credit cards, but who have them entirely paid off (or can pay them off entirely each billing cycle). For such people, there really is no reason not to use the credit card, provided that this purchase doesn't suddenly make them unable to pay the card off as they always do. In fact, many cards offer incentives, which could result in making the cost of Deathsaurus less than "MRSP."

But I'm just as sure that there are a lot of folks who, for whatever reason, do already have credit card debt that is not yet paid off. For thsoe folks, it depends on a number of factors, but the interest paid on the remaining balance if ordered now could make it cheaper in the long run to pay the "mark up" (whether that be eBay or one of the online stores that don't make you pay until the toy is actually produced an in-hand).

But even there, it's not necessarily better to pay later. It really does depend on the person's individual situation.

None of this is true if you pay off your credit card account each month. You seem to assume that no one does so. This is assuredly not the case.

If someone needs to use credit and pay it off later for a toy instead of now, it’s unlikely they’re paying off the interest they already have for more important things.

The OP mentioned interest which you only pay if you do not pay your CC bill on time and in full. Obviously if you can afford this on your CC without paying interest, go ahead. This was never an issue? We all do this. We don't all keep delaying paying back our CC and incurring interest though.
