So word from JTprime, Hound and Hatchet might be delayed. But can not confirm till the end of the month.

 

If you pay attention to general toy stuff, McFarlane oddly has 15 or so revealed products with no preorder despite his stuff usually dropping about when announced.

And a lot of the Hasbro product dropping now was originally for six months or so out.

What I'm hearing is that the dock unloading went into overtime to get product on sale before Christmas (including getting a lot of stuff out and into warehouses earlier than originally anticipated) but with the Christmas rush done, we're back into slowdowns there.

 

In other words, a little bit of time to allow our wallets to recover.

 

Breaking news:
Hound and Hatchet have been found dead in San Diego.

 

What?

Does this mean they've been cancelled?

 

No, but they might show up a bit later than initially anticipated. They need somebody to revive them, first off...

You know, those were never funny to me when it came to Needlenose. But now I'm starting to enjoy those jokes.

Also, I know from my company, a lot of retailers have gotten sick of port delays in LA, so New York, Savannah, and the Chesapeake have been snatching that traffic up. But it's going to slow some things on that end as well in the short term.

 

I also hope that I’m wrong since I’m looking forward to picking up Hound.

I made these edits to that image last year. I definitely feel like this is the perfect head design for a G1 Barricade, the evergreen design is awful and the Siege/ER one is just kinda boring/lazy.

 

G1 Barricade should be a Mustang, yes, but this one:

 

I'd go for that. Very G1. But I'd be good with modern-Mustang as well. Just not the Datsun-brothers repaint.

 

Now THAT's just right.


This makes me wish that at the very least he got the Legacy Knockout treatment with this head and new car parts in Siege or if not then just ER. He'd still be easy to make but he'd have much more pressence and identity.
Personally I do quite like the Evergreen design as TLK Barricade is still one of my favouites. I just wish we saw more it.

And with some retooling, that Foxbody Mustang could become Transformers vs. Terminator Arcee:


And then we'll need an accompanying '77 Firebird altmode Velocity, reusing most of the same engineering and some of Arcee's robot parts.


But how to spread out the costs for the new/heavy retool Velocity mold? Simple: Transformers: Collaborative Smokey & The Bandit "Banditbot." Then all we'd need is a "Snowmanbot" from a Kenworth semi-tractor truck mold.

 

Some tweaks and Hasbro can recoup some of the costs from the Holiday Prime mold.
