It just hit me last night that the Reaction Figures of Bumblebee, Shrapnel, and Rumble are essentially in scale with Ultimates.

I'll still be displaying RED Bumblebee with mine but Rumble and any other cassettes they do will probably display nicely with Soundwave.

That would be 4 waves out in the pipeline. S7 usually stops soliciting more at 3 undelivered waves.

To me, that tease is pure Galvatron.

I think it's a bit soon to solicit another Starscream.

So far, this line has two Optimuses, two Megatrons, and two Starscreams.

The Reaction line does seem to suggest they're seeing a lot of success (or having a lot of fun) with 86 movie stuff. That said, every wave of Ultimates has had at least one pre-86 movie character.

If I had to predict the wave, I'd say:

Galvatron
Rodimus Prime
Blaster
Shockwave

And since they like doing 5th figures that are repaints:

Shattered Glass Optimus Prime

 

W2 is listed as in production at factory so they might be shipping out soon.

 

That will be a great line up for sure man.

 

I just realized I picked two purple bad guys and two red and yellow good guys.

So instead, I'm going to go with:

Galvatron
Rodimus Prime
Quintesson
Hound

And stick with Shattered Glass Optimus as the bonus figure. Although Nemesis Prime and Action Master Optimus are also contenders. As are Thundercracker, Skywarp, AM Thundercracker, AM Starscream, Road Rage, Hate Plague Wreck-Gar, Negative Universe Wreck-Gar, Comics Soundwave, Archforce, and Reverse Convoy.

 

Oh. And I did the math based on G1 scale charts and Reaction Bumblebee, Shrapnel, and Rumble are almost perfectly in-scale with Ultimates.

Given that Soundwave doesn't come with transformed versions of any of his cassettes, I'm thinking Reaction Rumble is as close as we get and now looking forward to Reaction Ravage and Laserbeak.

Of those, Rumble is the only one to really suffer from 5 POA, IMHO.

 

I think Brian Flynn previously said part of the reason why Wave 4 is so small was because they held a figure back to pair it with someone in Wave 5. Maybe both Screamer and Galvatron? Maybe Screamer with pile of ash accessory!

Would be a lot of Screamin', but the core G1 guys are just there to prop up the line for weird shit like Alligaticon for me.

 

One thing I'd like to see them do is Teletraan-1.

They've said they plan to do diorama pieces for Joe Reaction over conventional vehicles. They've done smaller dio pieces for Power Rangers, Conan, and Silverhawks Ultimates as standalone $55 pieces. If they could do a Teletraan for $75 at their "deluxe size" pricepoint with appropriate deco for all the blue screens, I think it would be a hit.

Hasbro has never done a full size official Teletraan. Third party has generally run over $100. 3D printed models can be fairly pricey. I think at $75, a lot of non-Ultimates collectors would snap one up for display.

 

If Bludgeon has sold well hopefully they’ll do another Decepticon pretender

The Quintessons would be perfect as Ultimates. I wonder of we'll get a G2 repaint of the Grimlock? Or a G2 Thundercracker
