Same here. I’m not getting another Forge too. Previous one was good enough for me. Looks off to me too…I don’t know if I described it correctly but she doesn’t look Asian enough.
yeah, I get that it’s a new figure but I would wind up with two slightly different versions of forge in essentially the same costume. I would have much preferred they matched the new suits to my old Forge color-wise and gave us a Xavier in the 3 pack. Release that Forge standalone for people who missed him or prefer the new one.
When I think of 90s blue suits the first 2 that come to mind are Cannonball and Cable. Those are really the only ones I would want.
I know this is the toybiz but the costume differences are the same. So here you can see the comparison. Not the same belt, boots and most of all the colors wouldnt match with the rest. If they would have match the colours of the previous figure then it kinda miss the whole point . And he is from the caliban wave where they already released the jubilee in the VHS line a.d beast in the retro card.
It's still slightly different though. The Forge we previously got was Forge from before Fall of the Mutants. This new Forge is from whe Jim Lee era. Plus, I'm sure there are people that don't have the previous Forge that would then be missing him from this version of the team.
It's not the Forge from before Fall of the Mutants. Fall of the Mutants was around Uncanny X-Men 227. Forge got this costume after the X-Men entered in the Siege Perilous. About issue 255 if I remember correctly. And I'm not saying they never should have made the figure, I said in the part you quoted that they could have released him standalone for people who missed him or wanted the new version. Hell, they could have put HIM in the X-Men retro wave and put Wolverine in the 3 pack. I just dislike having to own two VERY similar versions of Forge to get Jubilee and Storm. But I'm aware these are probably in brighter yellow and blues and this one wouldn't have matched color wise. I guess I'll see how they look when they come out.
All of the faces from the new reveals look slightly weird to me. Blob and Storm look the best in my opinion.
Wait, why are people upset about the prices? $26 per figure for the 3-packs isn't bad and I had always assumed Blob would cost the same as Mojo. Now if that Ronan also ends up being $56, that's a problem given that he's smaller.
Yea plus it’s an anniversary year(Marvel Legends 20th/Spider-Man 60th) and we’ve seen how Hasbro and Disney get into a celebratory mood by increasing MSRP(like the Marvel and X-men anniversaries within the last 4 years). Thankfully some of the sales GameStop and other stores have bring down Legends prices to something more reasonable at times. I was glad to get Spider-Man Noir recently at Target(when it was on sale last week I think) for $20 instead of $30.
GI Joe Classified is doing Viper 3-packs of near identical figures with close to zero new tooling for $90 (so $30/figure). They're not even giving The Mouse a cut since Joe is an in-house brand with no licensing. Fine, they added "muzzle flash" effects but still doesn't seem worth the extra $15 they're charging over 3x $24.99 figures. I'm not batting an eye at these Marvel 3-packs at $78. Would still like them on sale, but the prices aren't terrible.
Just remembered, since the 3 packs + Wolverine are an easy way to get the characters from the X-men 275 cover, wonder if/when Professor X will be made too. And if we get him, hopefully Hasbro makes a Lilandra too.
The Mystique/Jocasta combo is only a few years old. So I think rather than a standalone release, I would prefer a multipack including the Imperial Guard and Deathbird. Related, I would have thought a Starjammers set unrealistic, but I'm optimistic now that Corsair is real.

Was able to pre order blob on pulse but the listing for outback rogue seems to be glitched atm. Was able to add to cart but it freezes when I want to check out. Nothing on amazon right now edit: rogue listing is now working on pulse
