So we're back to an exploited class rising up against their masters? Or, in other words, Sunbow continuity?

The best thing to do is not engage them on this subject. Asking them to stop hasn't work in the past.

seconded, put them on ignore if you have to, but it's not worth it trying to debate the matter with them.

In general, Hasbro does the initial designs and TT does the engineering. Then there’s a lot of back and forth fine tuning due to other ideas and of course the dreaded budget.

In my preference, I would love an Energon Starscream that meets those criteria, and...
a pretool for Victory Universe Multiforce Wing, and there's a reason for that.

The reason: Powerlinx with Energon Mirage to foreshadow WingWaver.

I'd love to see them give a proper update to these 3. The originals were great designs, and it'd be awesome to see them updated with modern design/engineering.

Since it looks like we're getting Cybertron Starscream, hopefully a proper SG version of him won't be too far behind. I'd love to see a proper update to him and Megatron using an updated Energon mold.

Yeah considering the new waves seem to re-introduce more of the Unicron Trilogy characters, it'd make perfect sense.

Depending on how he scales and what upgrade kits were to get made for him, I might just use an SG Starscream from a new Cybertron mold as my G1 Jetfire. (Or alternatively I'd add blue some paint and use it as 'Forged' IDW Starscream.)

This is pretty much the only way I would buy another Starscream (though I'd prefer the colors of it's late line repaint).

AEC revitalized Starscream the best. I lose my mind thinking about how awesome a modern update to Energon Starscream would be.

I want at least the main Seeker trio done from that design, even if it never got those repaints during Energon.

I'm currently not very enthused by the idea of Legacy TFA OP and I never bothered with Exo-suit Spike, but I would be all over a S3 Sari in her battle mode... Er, but not in a weird way.

I wouldn't say it is an equal share of the engineering based on the behind the scenes info dumps. It seems like it is more Hasbro comes up with the character line up and a first draft on the design. They then send those first drafts to the Takara team who either build off of that firs draft or completely scrap it in favor of their own engineering designs, such as the cases with Override and Cosmos. The final design then gets sent back to the Hasbro team and they decide the deco scheme. Even in the streams the Hasbro team alludes to the fact the Takara team does the brunt of the design work. This could just be modesty on their parts but with these BTS info dumps on social media and remarks by leakers with insider info at Hasbro, it does appear Takara is in charge of the actual engineering.

Design and engineering do not equate though (only offering constructive criticism on wording choices). While Takara does the brunt of the engineering, the initial concepts and deco layout as well as tooling layout are all done by Hasbro, and those are all part of the design process. There's really no need for people to have a sort of us vs them (Hasbro vs Takara) mentality (not saying you do) in regards to the design work. They both do design work, they share the load. They're partners and to act like 1 company does all the work while the other reaps the benefits is the perspective that is wrong.
