After many hesitation, I've finally backed this project via Australia's EB Games/Zing.

 

same as VS. if you do plan to buy later at the much higher price, you might as well charge it to your credit card now, bc the cc interest will be cheaper than the mark up price, like $50 cc interest vs $200 mark up post release.

 

If it wasn't Star Saber, it wasn't worth it for Deathsaurus to get off of his throne tbh. And I love that about him!

It's just that I was struck by how Megatron at least knew Ironhide, Ratchet, Wheeljack and Perceptor by name in the G1 cartoon, and naturally Beast Megatron knew every member of Optimus Primal's crew both because they were so few in number and that info made it easier to plot and plan, but in Victory I got the impression that outside of the teams (i.e. he recognised Braver and Laster as being Brainmasters, he could identify someone as being part of the Multiforce), Deathsaurus didn't really care to know any of the Autobots outside of Star Saber (and God Ginrai). Really drove home how insignificant they were in his eyes, or at least how much more powerful his personal grudge toward Star Saber was.

That led me to wondering, "Hey...did he actually interact with any Autobots outside of Star Saber?"

 

Actually, I'm picking up my Haslab Victory Saber later today at the store I ordered it in!!!!

But i'll be real miffed if we don't get the throne. Especially since they were ballsy enough in the last stream to say it wasn't nearly worth the price without it. The whole "tier unlock" as if it was a gift to us is getting tiresome.

 

I don't see why. As others have pointed out in this and other Haslab-related topics (both Transformers and none TF), the economies of scale thanks to more orders means that it's now possible for those other add-ons to be given alongside the base package.

I guess I just saw it as no different to how when I was buying sandwiches for a student breakfast club, because I'd bought so many the shop gave me a discount and threw in a few additional buns.

As for the throne... well, I'm sure there are many of us here who bought Coronation Starscream in a large part because of the Nemesis throne.

Ugh. I seethe with jealousy. Earliest I might get mine is... the 16th? Maybe?

 

I feel that as long as the remaining international orders total at least 2k the other 228 should be cove by places that have pulse.

 

I think we’ll have a natural 15k by the weekend if not Friday. FOMO orders might get us close to 16k by Monday. The last dump should bring us home quite easily

Definitely Agree. I really feel like Hasbro should add in all the extras at this point. Going to be strange if Saber has a stand & Death dosen't.

 

If that were to happen for Deathsaurus then the base backer goal would be 17k instead of 11k.

Like I said a few pages back, tier goals really drive the motivation for these campaigns. There's the people who want to get that tier so they put in their part, and the people who wait for the tiers to get hit. When it's a successful campaign, the first group hits the goal then the second group drives it home.

It both entices backers, makes the backers happy, and gets Hasbro more buyers and therefore more money.

I find it's a really well balanced system and the best of both worlds. If it doesn't hit the last goal, oh well at least I get my death chicken with a bunch of BFGs and spiky ball. If it were all in one and we didn't reach the 17k, then we get zip zilch nada and that wouldn't make anyone happy

 

What I like or don't like, doesn't change the fact that the throne & flight stand are made of plastic. I very much enjoy spending money on all types of plastic goodies...among other things...However, I think I may enjoy stating the obvious a little bit more.

Hahah. And of course, you have people like me who're perfectly satisfied with the base package even without tiers, and so don't stress too much about whether the other tiers are reached.

I do feel that anyone who's had experience buying things in bulk or even large enough amounts that discounts are given will have a better understanding of why things get unlocked at higher backer numbers. I mentioned my own experience with buying food for students, for example.

 

Your most likely absolutely correct...I just wish Hasbro would come up with a business model that doesn't include, leaving some consumers feeling the need to call on The Super Friends (DNA Labs, Nonnef Productions, Toyhax, & Random Ebay Seller) to fix, Complete, & Polish off almost every last figure. Definitely don't want to feel the need to make the call for a Haslab, even at the...base...level...
