After missing MT Jazz, then waiting for the reissue, then hearing about FT Jazz, passing on the MT reissue... He is the last S1 carbot I need, and was a favourite of mine as a kid (same as the rest of us I'm sure). This is probably my most anticipated figure this year besides Hannibal.

 

I thought that the way the arms folded into vehicle mode was very reminiscent of the original G1 toy.

Just out of interest. If FT decided to release Prowl, Bluestreak and Smokescreen, and they were up to the visual standard of Jive, would anyone be interested? I know I would be.

Primus yes! No hate for the officials but they are looking pretty dated these days, Sideswipe and Tracks too while we're at it!

 

I would. While the + versions are great (Streak and Screen are amazing) they are still old molds that can’t compete with how great newer MP figures display.

Wheeljack + to me, seems hard to improve on, but who knows.

But make it be Sideswipe first. TT’s version is just outdated, even the + one. And everything BC does is shit.

Ugh see this I don't like about BBB. I preordered, so I need to wait for the PO coupon otherwise I needn't have bothered. Then, if I want to use the coupon I already have I have to ask them to combine the coupons. But because of this, I likely can't take advantage of the winter sale coupon cos that would be a THIRD coupon code. The payment screen lets you add just one.

I wish they'd just add points for preorders or figure out a more robust coupon system. I'll hold off til they send the payment notice.

EDIT: I messaged them on-site about combining my coupons ahead of the balance request, and did put the idea of just adding points to our BBB accounts equivalent to the value of the preorder bonus coupon. Would be nice not to be locked out of deals cos we preordered.

Personally, I have no problem with how my Takara MP Datsuns look but yes, if FT did them, I'd probably upgrade, though I suppose it would depend on what liberties they take with the alt modes - I absolutely love the Takara datsuns' alt modes (v1, of course, not the watered down toon versions). And I agree that Sideswipe could definitely use an upgrade and Tracks, well Tracks is possibly the worst MP figure out there so yeah, I'd definitely jump on a new version that doesn't suck.

 

To be fair though, your posts in this thread haven't struck me as particularly enthusiastic...

 

Oh for sure, alt modes are great! Also doesn't hurt that that Datsun is just an awesome looking vehicle!

Much like Downbeat when Jive is released, the Datsun bros will just move to an alt mode shelf in my collection. Waste not, want not and all that lol!
