It will match Spinister's tail pointing up I think.

What is the little grey piece to the right of the photo?

It’s the undercarriage bed that you have to partsform for the Type 500 Eva type Shinkalion

I know the lack of paint bothers some people but when I look at Needlenose I get the same sensation I get when a Grey Proto looks better than the painted/colored finished toy. I just quite like the look of the sculpted detail in most of the areas where there are sculpted detail. Does he look good with Spinister?

Big fan of this guy, my figure has basically perfect QC too (an unfortunate rarity for me these days).
Vehicle mode is... okay but I think he carries a decent amount of personality considering his rather basic appearance. He definitely feels like a G1 design, more so than other recent CHUG figures I've handled.
His Targetmasters barely exist so I won't say much. They stand there or turn into guns, nothing really else to say other than they are definitely a thing that you get. Unlike Pointblank though, they feel like a bonus rather than a detriment to the figure, Needlenose has enough going on that I'd be happy with him even if they weren't included.
If this level of QC holds up for the rest of Evolution I'll be very happy (I know I won't but better to be hopeful right?).

I think you've nailed it there. Compared to Pointblank, Needlenose feels like a complete figure, without compromise. The designers had a plan for what they wanted the figure to be and were able to just do it. Whereas with Pointblank, the compromise is plain to see.

I'm really looking forward to getting him in hand. Currently waiting on Pulse UK to get him in stock, which hopefully should be tomorrow, so I have a chance of him showing up before Christmas.

I got Needlenose (and Hot Shot) from Kapow yesterday, swore I was done with Tf's for this year after getting Haslab Star Saber but the temptation of getting this guy earlier than anticipated was too enticing (and Hot Shot cause I needed my JaAm boy).

Everyone loved Spinister but there were a couple of things that bugged me with him: His leg transformation took a little while to figure out and more annoyingly his rotor flopping around everywhere.

Needlenose however is just simply awesome. His targetmaters get a bit of flack but I really enjoy them, I don't need them to pull crazy poses, I wish I had two extra Zigzags to repaint in to Spinisters targetmater guys.

Can we get a Quake now, the TR one was alright but a more G1 faithful one wouldn't hurt.

I agree about the leg transformation on Spinister, but I never had a problem with his rotor "flopping" everywhere. Must have been QC.

Which is a tad sad because Siege actually had generally pretty decent QC.

But that aside, your testimonial is making me want the figure more, that's to be sure.

Don't know how I feel about this except for the feeling that it should've been a voyager class figure.

Nah. The G1 Double Targetmasters were pretty small dudes.

Maybe he meant the rotor blades folded in robot mode dont stay in place firmly and wobble from side to side, which seems a common thing on this figure as the tab supposed to hold his rotor still dont do much.
The three i had in hand were like that.

Dang, i must have won the lottery on that then, for me the rotors dont move hardy at all when tabbed in. I'm sorry to hear that! :(

Yeah, sorry, that is what I meant, in robot mode that little nub that's supposed to hold his rotors in place isn't very effective, if I pose him it'll stay, but picking him up to play they flop all over, his colours are my favourite thing about him.

Needlenose, whilst having "dull" colours, has an amazing mold with lots of personality and no issues when picking up and posing, the teal and silver tampos in jet mode are amazing to boot.

I do love both figures, just prefer Needlenose the most.

    I think so.

I like his colour palette, the headsculpt is fantastic and the proportions in hand look good. I have a soft spot for him since Marvel UK’s Cry Wolf, and I’ve always liked his overall design.
