Nothing really at the moment. I bought GoBots, G.I. Joe, MOTU, etc. along with my Transformers back in the 80s, and I used to dabble in other toylines that interested me but that pretty much ended when all the clearance U.S. ZOIDS disappeared from the shelves in the early-mid 2000s. I do tend to pick up cheap-o Bakugans when I see them at a garage sale or flea market, but I don't actively collect them. MIKE engledogg
I used to do a lot more, nowadays other than TFs I collect X-Plus Godzilla and Ultraman figures, Micronauts / Microman, older super robot toys, Sentai DX toys and the occasional Zoids model
I used to collect video games and consoles. Then I moved and it was no longer possible for me to buy game systems and games like I did. Also, I think some jerkwad stole a box of my DS and GBA games that accidentally got left behind after the most recent move. I've sorta started collecting video games and video game hardware again with my dad's old Wii, a handful of Wii games, two Wii Remote/Nunchuk combos, and two Wii Wheels (and the Wii U if my stepfather will get back to me about that one)
I used to collect coins years ago. I still have everything, I just don’t actively collect anymore. My Grandpa got me hooked on it as a kid, and I obsessed over it for years. The fun part was that you always had a shot at finding something collectible in your pocket change. I used to buy $50 boxes of pennies at the bank too and spend hours examining them under a microscope. The really great thing about that method is that you weren’t out any money…you just took your pennies back to the bank to get your $50 back!
Still collecting: MLP Toy horses (almost done) Videogame toys Stopped collecting: Rocks/crystals Weapons Skylanders/Amiibos
Besides buying Star Wars action figure when i can, other things i collect old 1980s horror movies for Shout/Scream factory blu rays buying and catching up on the old big bulky DVD seasons of X-Files. Just got season 4 earlier today videogames i guess especially any cheap old NES game i can try to get from places like a flea market or from amazon online
Just about anything science fiction-ish... here's just a few samples of my desk, top of dresser and some inventory pictures..
I used to actively collect coins with my prize piece being a Silver Dollar from 1896. When I was a restaurant manager back in the mid 90's, some kid came in with these weird-looking coins to buy hamburgers. I had never seen them before and there was no internet to verify its authenticity. I just had to take his word for it. I asked where he got these coins and the kid said, "Oh, my Grandpa has a bunch of these." Pretty sure that kid's grandpa was ticked about that. Afterwards, when I counted the books, I exchanged my money for those coins and some 30 years later, many of them are worth a significant amount! I have a few other silver dollars from the 1800's as well. Also have a ton of other silver dollars, Buffalo Nickels, Indian head pennies, etc. Still (judiciously) collect: Marvel Legends, McFarlane DC Figures, Star Wars Black Series Jedi and Sith, Lightsabers and Gargoyles. Funko Pops: I don't buy everything, just pick and choose and buy them ONLY to get them signed. Transformers Masterpiece/3rd Party. Just need a few more to finish my collection. Sneakers: I have way too many Jordans sitting around in boxes... and it's tough for me since I wear size 14. I collect comics, but at this juncture, I only buy key issues, mostly first appearances.
Transformers are my constant since 1984, but here’s the rest: Childhood: GIJoe, M.A.S.K., Gobots, Star Wars, He-Man, Starriors Tween: Micro Machines, video games Post-college super-collector phase: Marvel Legends, McFarlane Sports figures, pro wrestling figures, Muppet figures, Puppet Master figures, video games, GIJoe reissues, He-Man 200x series, Street Fighter figures, Gundam model kits, maybe more Current “responsible adult” phase: Just TFs and video games. And pro wrestling entrance music, but that’s not a physical collection. Also autographs, mainly from voice actors (especially G1 VAs) and wrestlers.
Gundam, Kamen Rider, Bionicle, normal Lego (kind of), Star Wars (barely), and a very modest collection of Brave and Power Rangers stuff. I loved Thomas as a kid and I had so many of those diecast trains. I could totally imagine collecting those or even the cute little wooden ones.
Warhammer models and rulebooks from specific editions. Pretty much all that counts. I'd love to collect Star Trek ships, but I have no room, and most of my money goes to keeping the family housed. I'm also trying my best to NOT collect guitars.
