Death's Head II is the same character in a different body. Kind of. Mostly. He's from the far flung future of 2020!

Marvel own Death's Head outright - there's no dispute. He first appeared in the one page strip High Noon Tex, which was whipped up to guarantee that they got to keep the character after realising that he could be popular. He's apppeared a fair amount since (in various incarnations) and had his own miniseries the other year. There's an omnibus of his appearances floating around too

It may be why the Universe figure came styled in DH's second "costume" (mainly blue/black with yellow vest) instead of the first green/yellow/brown (I'm omitting the red of the cape because that remained the same on both versions).
As @Toadimus Prime states DHII is 105 absorbed personalities within the Future Era A.I.M. cyborg "Minion" body marshalled by the absorbed consciousness of the original DH, yes, of course that was a terrible idea but that kind of standard generic "extremeness" of 90's rebranding was the style of the times, and Abnett & Lanning never quite mastered the syntax, yes?

The throne is pretty nice. Its better than the flight stand. The throne seems to be worth it.

Yes, but they've actually been pretty good about not using "shiny metallic" paint for parts that will eventually be "milky silver/grey plastic" on other prototypes (particularly masterpiece etc), and since this is very shiny metallic paint I have a feeling they intend to paint it for the final figure. If you look at the blue on his thighs, for example, the sheen is different, so I surmise the thighs will be a "metallic swirl blue plastic".

I know they're just going to do what I expect them to anyway, and I'll just have to live with paint scraping and even possible breakage, I just felt compelled to vent my frustration somewhere.

Where can I buy/back this figure if I live in Scandinavia?
Hasbro is apparently to "awesome" to let me backing this because my country is not available for shipping in the Europe Hasbro pulse page...
I managed to back Star Saber thru Zavvi last year but Deathsaurus is not available there.

I still can't get over how fantastic it is that he can wield the cannon in alt mode.

My prediction for final count is somewhere around 19-20k, comfortably over the 17k for the Throne but not reaching the high of VS.

I bought Victory Saber from https://www.tf-robots.nl/en_GB/
They have Deathsaurus available for preorder, albeit at a premium compared to Haslab, you can contact them and ask if they ship to your country. Keep also in mind that they are closing orders on 10th december.
Here's the link for Deathsaurus: https://www.tf-robots.nl/en_GB/a-76...ers-generations-haslab-deathsaurus-pre-order/

    Thank you!
Yes I have bought from them one time before and it was no problem. But as you said it is at a premium, total cost will be 320usd for me.
While I paid 230 usd for Star saber at Zavvi =/

May I ask if you have a specific reason for waiting? Out of curiousity.

Some people wait until certain tiers are reached (i.e. production confirmed, 1st tier, 2nd tier), others were waiting for the coloured prototype to be shown, others still were waiting to make sure they could actually afford to back (e.g. because Pulse isn't available and so they have to put down a deposit, or even pay the full amount up-front), and there was also a subsection who were hoping that Victory Saber would be in their hands to help them make their decision (i.e. if dissatisfied with Victory Saber, why back Deathsaurus?) as well.

Hahah. Wasn't that a case of "this guy doesn't look like the original, act like the original or talk like the original, but he's the same guy, honest!"

Like, how in the world could you write a character with a very specific character quirk, and not actually use said quirk, yes?

I'm kind of reminded of how Takara Tomy ludicrously claimed that Transformers Animated was the prequel to the Michael Bay films, despite a vastly different cast and personalities, claiming that Bulkhead (renamed Ironhide) would go from gentle artist to the live action Ironhide's gun nut persona.

Me? I’m waiting right now due to funds. I’ve got serious home renos that we’re doing and are way over budget. Plus I just bought a new snowboard setup.

I could swing this too but without paying off some of the renovations, I’m seriously stretching my wife’s understanding. Is 10 days going to change all this? Probably not, hey, you never know.

Yes, I don't think anyone would complain about people who are waiting because they have to see if they have funds available. That's just reality, yeah? There are just more important things to spend your money on. Sometimes.

1 in 2: It either is or it isn’t, no other options than that.

Hopefully the final colors on the figure match the painted demo’s

Because they want to. Nobody's business why someone would want to wait. I'd love if every project was a success but I wouldn't want someone putting themselves behind the 8-ball for my benefit.

"Why" is a perfectly legit question to ask. The answer sometimes brings clarity to the prospective buyer, like knowing "you only get charged the day after the campaign ends IF IT FUNDS" because some people don't read the fine print
