No.. there’s no paint on the Toon version, other than the bits on the jet pack, which are slightly a different tone of white. The EX is as you describe, with the pearly bits showing contrast against the white bare plastic.

 

For those interested in the H45F nylon parts version, ShowZ has a "Winter Sale" price for it.
You don't see it until you go to Checkout but they take $9 off the listed price.

 

I think it is EXR that is pearl white, like FT Pearl, showing real contrast with the white none-painted bits

The EX seems like white paint or plastic. At least i cant tell from the pics / video.

i cant believe the "friends" version that they just announced is incoming, and not the EX version that was the next one after toon to go on preorder...

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between the main and F versions?

 

F version will have no die cast, will have another material in its place. (I think it was nylon)

I’m guessing that the release of Magic Square’s Jetfire made NA bump up the release of H45F. Seems strange to release a “Year of the Rabbit” figure a few months earlier.

 

It’s a bummer the F version is coming out before the EX which was shown awhile ago.

This begs the question then. What would be the purpose of changing the materials and a new release, outside of better matching of whites? I was too wondering about the "F" edition and I'm surprised non of the sellers specifically say any of this or at least the two to three I checked in China. US sellers I checked don't seem to be getting it. TIA!!!!

 

The purpose is a cheaper version that people can gift their friends. Kinda like their “youth” Prime that didn’t have the die cast or premium paint and was less expensive.

It’s just a non premium version for more casual consumers is my take.

 

Oh! I dig that classic toy box design. I'm really hoping that KitzConcept does something similar with their Jetfire.

 

Personally, I would have hoped for a better price difference than $16 from what I see on ShowZ. One might as well get the "better" version IMHO.

What got me to double dip on Prime is that they were able to leave off his trailer and such which made the price difference really appealing. Considering I went for the EX Prime the price difference was even more appealing to me.

 

Yea, but it competes with the Magic Square version. Also, at some point, Show Z had this for 95, so 20$ difference, and i think the colors will still look more pristine vs MS Meteorite.

 

I would gladly swap out the diecast on my copy for 16 bucks if that was an option
