Transformed mines back to robot mode today. A lot easier than I expected. Everything went exactly where it should have, definitely something you need to take your time with. Crazy impressive engineering

Mine got delivered today. I have a Costco run after work today, which means I may not be able to deal with this.

He started off strong, largely thanks to the video he watched to learn how to transform it, then his own natural abilities took over.

Someone should explain to him that his videos are edited, not real-time, and he can take as long as he needs to get something right.

    YouTube (Handle):
Is he really an 'influencer'? I wager he's not making millions from reviewing Transformers. What does annoy me is that he doesn't do the basic research. Like, not knowing if XTB did a human figure with Springer. That would have taken, what, 30 seconds to check?

Still, this is yet more proof that I'm personally missing nothing by not transforming it. I don't care about the voice effects and I'm using MP-22 for alt mode, so I'd rather keep Stack in good condition, rather than risking stressing/breaking something during transformation.

If we go by just this board alone, maybe he is. His videos generate more "discussion" than basically any other reviewer out there, even if his subcount is fairly mid-ish for TF content.

But I did benefit from his review here. I want this piece, but I also only want/need it to function as a solid robot toy. It comes packaged in bot mode, it works well in bot mod, and (in general) it isn't going to fall apart on me if I leave it that way. This might have been one of the more valuable reviews out there for me personally.

I’m doing the same. MP-22 arguably looks a little better in alt mode IMO aside from the visible crotch. I still enjoy that transformation as well. It will be a lot easier keeping Stack’s paint looking good by not touching it!

It's funny that whenever a non-transforming TF thread is open, people shit on it because "it doesn't transform", but some collectors are happy never transforming stuff that does.

TF Collectors are truly a weird bunch.

Can't wait to transform the shit out of this.

I've transformed mine many times and there's no sign of paint wear yet.

Of course if you are BSF, it would probably be completely stripped of paint after more than one transformation. Didn't he use pliers or a knife to transform a figure once?

He used a shovel once to "transform" TFC Hound. I consider it to be one of his greatest moments ever.

If memory serves, he broke out a stanley knife (or craft knife) to transform XTB Janssen. While I appreciate the cack-handed monkey man for his honesty, you'd be better off watching the incredible hulk do a transformation guide.

It's valid to include the transformation to see how difficult the process is for the layman, it shouldn't take all day to carefully do a transformation and plastic shouldn't rub against plastic at all. For a transformation guide there are plenty of other slickly edited videos.

It's a skill issue. A layman shouldn't transform something intended for a skill level many times higher than they have.

Sure it's valid but then you end up with something horribly mis-transformed because he gives up and can't be bothered. Then he gives it a negative review when most of the failure is on his end. It's a waste of our and his time if he can't be bothered to put in an honest effort to properly transform/review things. If he's too scared to transform and possibly break someone else's figure then he shouldn't do it. If he wanted to take his time to get things right he could easily edit stuff out and he could transform more complicated figure out from behind the camera. To me the way he does things suggests to me a severe lack of interest.

All I can say is either do it right or don't do it.
