And now it’s live. Lots of Digital Epic collections from $3.99 to 6.99. I just bought out the Avengers West Cost Epic collections.

"We Haven't Found The Answer What To Do With Angela"- Tom Brevoort

"I don't think we've quite found the answer to what to do with Angela. Removed from her connection to the SPAWN mythos, there's not all that much to her, and our attempts to cement her into Thor's family tree haven't entirely taken off the way we might have hoped."

Replacing Angela with Hela for Thor 3 didn't go too far.

Shoehorning Angela into the MU was such a bizarre move and frankly just… dumb. As far as I can tell, it didn’t elevate the character or strengthen the MU in some tangible manner. It was just a stunt for the sake of the stunt. It even makes me wonder if this was just simple a petty gesture to annoy McFarlane too.

I’d be perfectly happy if someone crafted some great MU storylines with Angela but it doesn’t seem like anyone is interested in that.

I'm sure Angela would be fine hanging out in Marvel Comic Book Limbo alongside her new drinking buddy Circuit Breaker.

Angela is so much the 90's badass bad babe stereotype that there never was that much to this character. Marvel already has so many female fighters to utilize in comics and movies that she's completely surplus to requirements.

Yeah, Angela was kinda a weird thing. It doesn’t help her big introduction happens in Age of Ultron, a nothing burger event with nothing burger consequences. She’s followed up with in Bendis’s Guardians run, which is itself kinda a mess. Trying to graft her in as a Thor sister is a choice that probably works on paper but really needed a skilled writer and editor to make it work.

Maybe it would have been better to tie her in as some sort of nemesis to Mephisto, but Marvel never really does the whole Heaven/Hell thing much in their universe with exceptions.

I was thinking the same thing. The MU doesn’t really include Christian cosmology and purposely tries to avoid real world religions. Angela actually would have been a better fit in the DCU because of their usage of angels, heaven and hell. Having said all of that, the character has questionable appeal anyway (imo).

She was a angel who hunted demons. Why change that? She should be hanging out with ghost rider and the nightstalkers not thor.

Like others said, demon hunting angels is more of a DC thing. Aesthetically she fits with the Asgardian/Pantheon of gods thing best. But grafting in a new character to such an old mythos is not easy.

Marvel has soloman kaine who hunts demons in its universe. They have angels, demons, monsters and other things. How is a demon hunting angel odd for them? 70s marvel monster comics had all kinds of things like that in it!
