Yeah the decision to distance from Bay movies was made after filming, once TLK had a poor returm.

 

Which is why it'd be quite odd for them to do a 180 and suddenly connect ROTB to Bayformers either as a prequel or in some other way.

 

I hope Hasbro does a public release of these cookies. Apparently Delzord got one too. Looks like these are exclusive for social media "influencers" only.

it's a common trick in trailers, so that the same scene seems fresh in the film itself. We've seen it TF trailers before, and is really noticeable when you watch trailers once you've seem the movie.

Never underestimate the willibgness of people to make irrational decisions, BUT I think at this point its clear the director wants the freedom to do his own thing with the franchise. And so do I quite frankly. Glad to hear there is limitless possibilities.

Despite a few people, I think overall the trailer has been well received online and I imagine so long as ROTB is successful we can expect Caple Jr. to be the man in charge for the foreseeable future. There is clearly a willingness and excitement from him.

That excitement from Caple Jr. Is a refreshing change from Bay, who let off a reluctant, almost irritated vibe with making Transformers movie.

I'm not talking about the fans, I'm talking about the product itself. Chances are it would've gained new fans either way and I'm not obligated to be nice to a bad product because some people happen to like it.

 

Anyway, pending any official stills that are wallpaperworthy, here's a little effort I put together.

Seriously, if they don't use the logo with the different symbols on the packaging for each of the three factions then they've missed a trick.

 

wait so TWO sets of leakers with around probably 10 or more sources all said its Bayverse? that despite the director saying it FEELs like a true reboot? and Optimus has a 95% identical bay face?! but bumblebee still has his spinoff face!? what the hell is going on lol

 

they did it with gi joe with snake eyes (pure reboot) and it was one of the biggest bomb of last year

 

I'm sure they will do that. ROTF had different faction symbols for Autobot and Decepticon toys.

 

Snake eyes didn’t bomb bc it was a reboot though, it bombed because they only decided to start marketing like 2 months before the movie released. It didn’t help that word of mouth was pretty poor

 

Looks like Scourge will be the new "char clone" of the Transformers franchise, and the first "char clone" to appear in the live-action films.

Side note: I kinda count IDW Tarn, Necrobot and WFC Galvatron to be the "char clones" of the series they appeared in.

 

It was also the 3rd film in a series where the first two had also failed to perform spectacularly.
