How is scourge nemesis prime

 

The RID Combiners are the last big holes in my collection. Landfill isn't too hard to come by but tracking down Baldigus is proving tiresome. I would've even settled for the UW update but that's even harder to find.  

He's not saying he is. Those aren't arrows indicating a transition/equivalency but "greater than" symbols repeated implying that Scourge far surpasses Nemesis Prime.

What RID Character other than Sky-Bite would you like to see star in a future cartoon or comic? For me its Tow-Line or more specificly his Wrecker Hook persona as I would like to see him slowly unravel who he once was before he lost his memory and joined the decepticons.

 

I think Sideburn would need some reworking to make him less of a creep, but I think he could work and there's a lot of potential with the Decepticons.

 

Less of a creep?

I think an Autobot creep would be a GREAT character to see in the modern age. Especially if the Autobots are as involved in human drama as they sometimes were in G1. Can you imagine massive protests outside Autobot headquarters over Creepburn? Maybe even have to have Sideburn go to some form of awareness training or something.

You'd please the "current issues" crowd, and have a great story element to play with. What's not to love?

After his "training" you could even get some great lines when he sees cars he's crushing on.

"Hello, lovely automobile. You are making the world a better place by your mere presence, and I salute you respectfully for doing so."

 

Ugh. I can hear the outrage, now. Just don't make him a creep, to begin with, and we're good. I'm sick of people and their incessant need to "change" someone. Even though I'm on a certain end of the political spectrum, I'm getting sick and tired of their self-righteous indignation and the desire to mold people into something they're not. My team has gone off the rails. It's especially ass-chappin' when the molders aren't exactly pinnacles of humanity themselves.

How about we just have fun, compelling characters who don't offend people (and we just ignore those who are offended at that point because they're simply looking for ways to be butthurt, then) and just enjoy a good time together?

FFS, I'm so sick of agendas on either side. You can update a character without changing them fundamentally. Just don't retain the creepiness of Sideburn. If that's a fundamental part of his character then was he ever good, to begin with?

Sideburn wasn't a creep. He chased after inanimate cars, unaware or incapable of understanding that they weren't alive like he was, hence his constant hounding because they would never reciprocate. That's the joke.

 

I agree with you but I also never thought of Sideburn as a creep, I just thought of him as a little flurtatius that's all perhaps just towne it down.

 

Side Burn's fine mostly cause he doesn't always go after the same car, it's just that almost all of the ones he does try to get with are all of Kelly's endless amounts of cars cause comedy show.

The joke itself though gets old real fast as it remains the same for the entire show and never changes. They even dedicated an entire episode to it where Megatron as disguised as a red sports car to capture Side Burn to lure and kill Optimus. Side Burn than says he'll never chase a red sports car again at the end only for him to go chasing a red sports car again a few seconds later at the end basically nullifying the episode.

 

We have 777 replies and im about to break that triple 7 and win an achievement while doing it.

 

... And then X-Brawn arranges a parade of nothing but little red sportscars to snap Sideburn out of it because he can't stand to see his little brother so unlike himself.   But the training isn't completely undone, so he's a bit less over-the-top about it. The end result would be more what Sideburn might be like if RiD hadn't been essentially an animated sitcom. (But RiD was still the show we needed after slogging through the pretentious gloomfest that was BM!)

He's basically Justice League S1 Flash taken up to 11, and JL Wally is probably how I'd handle a less comedic take, now that I think about it ...
