Any major QC issues besides the Scrapper not staying attached? Think I might finally scoop these up with that Target discount.

I’ve never customized in my life, but having grabbed this set on discount I’m pondering ways to turn these guys into Sixbuilder.

My Walmart reissue Devastator will not stay together in combined mode and falls apart easily. Tonkanator, on the other hand, is rock solid. I even knocked him over by accident when setting up this picture and he stayed together.

I only put a few stickers on out of laziness.

 

My Tonkanator arrived today. I haven't had any version of the G1 Constructicons since the originals in the 80s. I forgot the chest plate partially blocks the left arm. At least it can still reach around with the joint swivel.

The hip connection for "Scrapper" is very tight. Initially had some difficulty getting him to stay in place for the combined mode. Kept popping out of place until I got it right.

It's annoying that they only include one drill hand replacement. I always liked the battle vehicle modes but can't have them all together without a second drill.

 

Mine arrived today and was missing a gun. I'm so frustrated with Hasbro's abysmal QC across the board.

Called Target and very calmly and politely bitched about it and got a refund and wasn't asked to return it. Looking on eBay the gun I'm missing is around ~$10 had the original was also molded in black!

 

Wow. I noticed that one of my little guy's arms were misassembled: basically had two right arms. I bugged Hasbro about it, and they seemed to want me to return the whole thing to them, but after asking if I could just swap the one figure, crickets.

 

Dealing with Hasbro/Pulse is godawful. They're doing business like it's 2001. Your item arrived with terrible QC? Send it back, once we receive it we'll send the replacement. Want a Refund? Mail it back, once we receive it we will MAIL YOU A CHECK.

Just realized my Skyhook is missing the Tonka logo on the right side of the crane arm. Pictures on the box and in the first post here show the logo on this side. Do others here have Skyhooks with the logo on both sides of the arm or just the opposite side shown in those pics.

I let a friend's son play with Tonkanator and the reissue Seacons. He's been having a lot of fun with them so I may have to relinquish ownership to him.

 

Like many of you, I just got my Tonkanator, for Christmas. Love it, only ever had a KO G1 Devastator. Need to dig it out now for small giant-robot battles.

Wondering if the various upgrades for the G1 mold will fit this. They should, right?

 

I opened mine for my 5 year old this morning and was STUNNED at how more sturdy and durable it feels. I wish I had a regular Devy that felt as good as this one does.
