Oh WOW he is tall! I knew he'd be big for a modern Leader but I didn't expect him to reach Commander class height in Dragon mode, that is amazing

So I went to go fix the wing tips but after removing the screws, the plastic was extremely tight when trying ti pull the wings apart to flip the tip around, was this just on my copy? Didn't want to break or add stress to the plastic so left wingtips as is

 

That's going to be on everyone's copy. If you look at the wing assembly, there's a pin holding the two halves together also, right on the axis used to flap the wings. Without removing the pin, you will barely be able to pry apart the wing far enough to get the tip out. I didn't notice any stress marks after doing it, but if you do get any you can hairdryer them out. Or you could punch the pin.

 

Has anybody who pre-ordered Legacy TMII Dragon Megatron from Amazon gotten a shipping notice yet? There are 10 scalpers on Amazon right now who promise delivery of Megatron by next week.

 

Nope, my preorder still shows February for the arrival.

 

I've given up on Amazon. If it's not being the last customers in North America to get a product, it's boxes that are destroyed upon arrival.

 

Mine from BBTS is coming next week. But also getting this addon.

 

The add-ons I really want are these

 

A head like that might actually convince me to go for this sculpt.

 

The mask without the body to match just feels like a kink that he and Inferno share between episodes.

 

I like how the original could have its dragon jaw open and close like a puppet if you tipped back his horns. Had lots of fun with that.

Everything else on the Legacy toy is an improvement. Well, okay, the face is a lateral move.

I just opened mine brand new and i didn't see that the armature already had a crack and it just fell off mid transformation. Fffss

Hoping to see if i can exchange it from the shop i got this from but be careful guys with this part when transforming him.

I called my local Target store and they have Legacy Galvatron shelfwarming the Legacy leader class space, so I pre-ordered Transmetal II Megatron from Amazon. He was on sale for $49.49 today. Amazon stated he might not arrive until January, but Amazon might surprise everyone and release him before Christmas.

 

Wait what's that add-on? Is there a 3rd party kit already?

 

Someone made a new 3d printed face already. It's only available on the tfl taobao currently, but should show up on eBay soon enough.

There's also a replacement tail set that is available on eBay already, but it seems like a downgrade over the stock one. And the designer, Tim Heada, has bad QC problems on top of that. It also comes with a sword and an attachment to use the stock tail as a weapon.

 

The face was on ebay as preorder in various places and it was sold out so they all disappeared. But if a Beast Machines one shows up I'll get it.

Tamiya acrylic. Always thin generously for an even coat. As I say, I liked the purple hue because it shows up in some statues etc, but technically it would only be silver or charcoal to be show accurate.
