Yeah, I got the terminology crossed up. Was it Robots in Disguise that previously called their "Deluxes" Warriors? Something like that.
I was thinking pre earth IDW whirl (with a different head) but now with Medix on the way I like your idea more.
This would have been a great opportunity to use the Earthrise Cliffjumper model: a small deluxe that would be more scale accurate and the leftover budget put to more paint applications and filling out hollowed bits.
Warriors were Deluxes until they became the less complex Warriors and that proper Deluxes got brought back.
I'm not sure it's that hard to grasp for them. I've been watching the show with my little sister and she understands it just fine.
Does anyone here have the Earthspark Bumblebee? I'm wondering how well he could fit into a WFC/Legacy collection.
Kids take to 'new' concepts like a sponge, since everything is 'new' to them. Really sucks that adults stuck in their own fixed views use them as an excuse.
I kinda dig it actually. Thank you! This seems like it'll do well enough until Hasbro gets around to a TFP or Evergreen Bumblebee in the Generations line.
In case it's of interest, I started a Twitch thread so to include a fix to the front not fitting correctly. Earthspark Terran Twitch
He looks really good to me. I would consider myself an odd collector. I'm old, I have figures on and around my desk like Commander Stack, MP 44, Victory Saber, etc., but I still find myself fiddling with fun, basic deluxes like this a lot. Something about a well articulated, relatively inexpensive figure still has a lot of appeal to me. (but lack of waste is a problem)
I generally prefer inexpensive toys to expensive collectibles. I love seeing what the designers can do on a budget. I find, in my work, constraints produce more interesting work and that seems to carry over into toy design.
