Seems like a very unwieldy sword...

 

Not really weird. Current Generations toys don't use gimmicks other than the one or maybe two that are linked to the year's line. Right now that means weaponisers/fossilisers/junkions and energon weapons. Few (none?) of the recent re-makes from outside G1 have gimmicks from the toy-lines they were originally in, because that's just not what Hasbro are making here.

 

it isn't weird because starscream has ports under his feet for those weaponizer etc. figures. pretty much every legacy figure has.

hot shot has his mini con port on his rear bumper, starscream could have gotten one between his cannons.

 

No he couldn't have, unless you want a port that nobody can use because the area is too narrow to fit anybody.

 

Waiting for repaint announcements as Selects figures Hasbro....

 

it could be possible for a new swindle

it's possible that hot shot's port doesn't have enough for the old jolt but there's nothing stopping a possible new one to work with it

also it's entirely possible if the port were on that red part that folds down and tabs into his back, because that's basically the same spot it was on the og toy except it stuck out the back
