Must be some fluctuation on price depending on when you pre-ordered because it's $72 for me.

 

Ok MS, let’s get this amazing Skyfire/Jetfire out of the way, so that you can show us something new! We haven’t seen any new molds in almost a year now, what the heck have you guys been working on?!?

 

Well if you PO right now technically it's $74, and then it would show a balance due of $73 after the $1 deposit. So only $1 more, not too far off.

 

I'm trying to catch up with all their restocks. But you know, they will probably show 3-4 new molds simultaneously like last year with mirage, ratchet, hound, jetfire.

 

Yeah everyone must be saving everything for the big Shanghai (or at least I think it’s in Shanghai) show. I think that’s pretty soon, who knows though with China still doing lockdowns.

 

Just so everyone is aware, the Magic Square site has Skyfire for $61 plus $14 shipping to Canada. Not sure if shipping is the same to the U.S. I’m trying out the MS site for the first time. I’m curious to see how long the shipping takes.

 

Ho, to France is 68,92 and 10 for shipping. Ok it's TVA different depending to the pays.

 

2022 was a little disappointing in the number of new molds that MS put out, especially compared to 2021. The figures were some of the best they’ve ever made, but there were so few of them.

Jazz, Hound, Ratchet, Mirage, Skyfire, and Optimus v2 (although OPv2 was really late 2021 for the messed up trailer version), plus Ironhide (mold reuse) and MP OPv2 (upscale).

5 or 6 new molds was a serious decline from the 14ish new molds (depending on what you classify as a new mold) they put out in 2021.

Hopefully they pick up the pace in 2023, and they show a new batch of molds this month.

 

You’re paying $8 VAT which is the difference. They aren’t charging tax for Canada. I’m assuming I will not get hit with taxes on delivery but I’ll have to wait and see. It depends on who they are shipping with and how much they declare on the customs form. I don’t pay tax with the Chinese stores. Not sure about MS store yet.

 

Turns out Optimus Legends was the one who made the TFCON prototype pictures!

 

Getting more and more excited about Skyfire, he looks fantastic. Loving the articulation they've crammed into this bot, although it would've been nice if he had a tad more ab crunch movement (no biggie though). Also the articulated knee cap is a very nice touch.

Serious contender for one of my personal favorite MS releases this year  

 

Yeah I’m hyped, he looks like he’s gonna be a ton of fun and a better action figure than the NA version. I might like the way the NA version looks slightly more, but playability is important to me and also I like the scale.

MS figures are so dynamic and cool to mess with now, I’m not gonna miss any of this 2.0 stuff.

 

this looks decent and was going to pick this up. but like mirage, i guess i will be playing the waiting game and hope for an "A" version, or whatever it is with the alt masked head included.

i was excited about the gerwalk mode, but now disappointed to see how hollow it leaves it. so it's no longer a selling point over NA.

 

That's exactly what I was thinking too, what if the MST later releases another Skyfire version which would potentially have some extra accessories. I resented the NA Skyfire because he appeared with only one accessory ( gun ), and I thought it wouldn't be the same case with MST Skyfire but obviously I was wrong. In my opinion there is no real winner here between MS or NA version. Whichever version the fans decide will not be wrong. I like more bot proportions on MS Skyfire, clean look and his face no matter how serious it looks   So he wouldn't always look so serious it would be good if it had changeable faces.

Bought it on Bombusbee. I had one of their random $4 discounts, but it was anyway cheaper than other options.

Now what am I going to do with two legend class Skyfires?  

 

Start an alt mode collection and put one there!
