This franchise is no stranger to exceptionally strange decisions, but wow is that a weird choice to make. I mean that was early concept, abandoned in favor of a more refined design. Where’s the logic in basing the new design on that instead of the finalized Bee movie design? It is of course not a deal breaker but man is it bizarre.

 

weird thing is if they went with bumblebee movie prime, They would already have the assets but then again I forgot that MPC is doing the animations not ILM so they wont have access to the artefacts.

 

Apparently not. You’ll be swarmed with meat riders shouting “BUT-BUT- IT’S NOT FINISHED! THE MOVIE IS STILL SIX MONTHS AWAY!! ” as if we still can’t and shouldn’t criticize poor cg, so the studio is at least aware we won’t tolerate it being ugly upon release. For all we know, they don’t plan on fixing it.

 

Looking at the detail in the biceps and the collar area, looks like they actually did use TLK Primal as a base for the RotB one.

Edit: Nose and chin look pretty close too.

Nah, most of them do. I've heard even ILM is getting more guilty of it as time rolls on.

 

Most do but Marvel is guilty of it especially (rushing vfx for one things then to make way for the other). But that’s possible. Since at least rn they are probably in demand for vfx work.

I know part of the problems I've heard regarding MPC and other British VFX houses like Framestore is that everyone wants to use them, not just Marvel. Hell, MPC hasn't even done any Marvel films after the original GoTG. Most of their time has been filled with other Disney titles like the Rescue Rangers movie and those terrible remakes; plus the Sonic films, Nope, Godzilla vs. Kong, Ghostbusters Afterlife and several smaller film productions. All that plus RoTB on top of it makes it pretty clear how short-staffed and crunch heavy they've become. And there's industry scuttlebutt going around that they deliberately pull off some scuzzy tricks to get those films in the first place.

It and Revenge of the Fallen, tbh.

Also, another issue I have is why the hell do all the Autobots except Arcee have the stupid arm cannons!? Bumblebee I get but Wheeljack clearly has one in the huge battle at the end of the trailer and for some stupid reason they gave one to Optimus Prime.

 

Realization: the seemingly true leak that no one likes says that the Terrorcons are trying to summon Unicron to Earth with the Transwarp Keys IIRC. Which is at odds with this supposedly being a Bayverse prequel, since he would BE the Earth. So only one of those can be true

 

Yeah I doubt they will but man I really, really hope they do tweak WJ’s head to be G1.

I wish Prime just had his rifle.
