As for me? It looks good. Not mind blowing, but fun. I never have nor will I ever give a rat’s ass about legacy characters having different alt modes as long as they make sense for them, so I couldn’t care less about Mirage’s new drip. It suits him. With that being said, not too keen on Wheeljack being a van, as I always felt him being a speed freak mad scientist set him apart from other characters like him. Also you can talk about unfinished CGI till the cows come home, but at the risk of a tongue lashing, anyone who looks at this and says it’s “bellow video game level” is an actual fucking idiot who probably does good even being able to access a computer. CGI looks wonky in a lot of trailers before a film actually comes out, and why some of these puers can’t retain that simple piece of information will forever baffle me.

Also? You’re free to have whatever opinion you like about the aesthetic choices concerning Arcee, but anyone thinking she doesn’t look inherently “feminine” has probably never talked to a real woman.

I reserved judgement for the designs with fan art interpretation being based on secondhand accounts of what they look like and stuff. But now that there's clear official visuals, I definitely do not like the designs. Bumblebee movie I consider a downgrade with the Cybertron designs but the rest was good, this however is not appealing to me. I know a lot of fans in general are going to love these designs but to me it's just not interesting at all and now the greeble isn't even fun like the older movies. At least the Maximals aren't scale accurate to the animals though that would've been too much.

To me, this is seriously like a fan's image photoshop "improvement" of a redesign you see on social media with 200 likes except fully animated. The alternative modes are great and varied but the robots seem derivative.

 

You make good points but I just don't get why you have to reach for few of your complaints to the point where they just don't make sense. Especially when it comes to Scourge because there is absolutely no similarity except the fact they turn to mad max looking trucks. Unless you wanna reach even more and complain about metallgic vehicle shards even though that's been live-action TFs from the start.

Looks pretty fine. Ain't gonna judge the entire movie on a single trailer, so I'm still overall keeping an open mind on this film.
