This is one of those toys that is a tangible improvement over the Siege equivalent tapes. Part of me feels it could be done better, though I'm at a bit of a loss to say exactly how it could be better, given the constraints imposed by the size and price point/safety restrictions/Hasbroness of it. I also get a bit of a "classic G1" vibe from it, in that Rumble comes with a palette of accessories (almost as massive as he is himself) which are kind of necessary to complete the look of the robot mode, but are approaching useless when in altmode.

Love it a improvement for sure and he isn't even blue but violet. Pile drivers and guns perfect additions and I am surprised they included them both.Best offical cassette n this size yet!!


Edit * It fits in all my soubdwaves/blasters that take these WFC sized cassettes.

Rumble's Piledriver

 

really wish the pule drivers could plug onto tape mode or do something else. Just makes me miss my MP tapes.

 

Since he’s more then what 2 cassettes cost 2 years ago, one would hope.

(I think Cores are an absolute embarrassment at full retail, even by current Hasbro standards)

id still say the best modern Cassette was the Ravage that came with Uni Hound (ironically that package in 2008 cost the same as MSRP for this!!)

 

Was not a fan of that ravage and it surprised me even had repo labels Gave it to a friend but kept this one. Still not the biggest fan of it though

Yeah core class prices are what they are these days think I have all of them

 

I hope SS86 Frenzy coming doesn’t preclude them doing toy colors at some point (I loathe the Sunbow deco, not just because it's backwards, but the lack of black)

seems like easy money for a Gen Select 2 pack.

 

Don't forget about the Buzzsaw we never got.lol he probably will come with the Netflix mold released as SS86 soundwave in that sunbow color.

 

Hopefully we get a new Condor mold that’s more on point — it shouldn’t be hard, you literally just need to copy the G1 mold with some stylistic and articulation improvements, but they’ve sure managed to screw it up every time… and then give us buzzsaw, poor guy is like the forgotten S1er…

I dig this guy's colors, reminds me of BooBerry cereal. I'm not too big a fan of paying core pricing for essentially a micromaster (+ accessories) but I also can't deny that he is way better than the previous Rumble/Frenzy. He'll look good with Frenzy for sure, and here's hoping we get Enemy at some point as well.
