Got all wave 3 deluxes yesterday, (pointblank can’t be pictured with decepticons obviously). Wasn’t a fan of a few of them at first, but after a play. I love them!
Crankcase is wayyyy better than skids, looks a lot nicer with the new parts, the colours are good and even the bumper-canon is fun.

Dead End is not the disappointment I thought he’d be, the legs are naff, but solid atleast, and the top half looks great!

pointblank still leaves a lot to be desired with the weird waist and small arms, but the colours pop and that vehicle mode is so fun. I like peacemaker, looks more like a fun than the siege battlemasters.

skullgrin…well…why all the hate?! He’s great! The lower legs are a bit floppy I guess but damn I love the weapons. The swords may be rubber but..:very tough rubber, it isn’t going to bend unless you really want it to. And he also comes with two extra canons, which I didn’t expect to be removable but damn do they look great. I wish all the pretenders were this, I love the core ones, but wish they were deluxes. Really don’t get why everyone hates this guy.

overall, solid wave. Just Metroplex to get and I’ve got all the mainline ones I want from year 1, still need a couple of exclusives though (mainly galaxy shuttle, slicer and the impactor set). But other than that, Legacy has been fab.

Nearly done :)  it does leave the car a bit hollow at the front, but I think it’s worth it. Removing the elbow pin was a pain.

    Metroplex has arrived...

People aren't kidding about the ratchets for the hands and legs, and I have to say that I am impressed with the plastic quality... but the heck with the stomach "crunch" which is loose as heck, without that "stopper" panel he'd have trouble standing straight and the waist rotation should also have had ratcheting action. Those shoulder parts should have larger pins/snaps too, as they pop out way too easily. Looking forward for the DNA kit to give him proper hands... it's so cheap for Hasbro to give him mittens, compared to my Fortress with the fully articulated hands, they really went backwards with those.

But aside these gripes, he's a solid figure with lots of articulation and very stable for something of his size...

Do you guys recommend getting Jhiaxus and Knockout? I like their designs and think they would go well with Bulkhead and Arcee. But not sure if they have good quality or problems like yellowing plastic. Thoughts?

Knockout and Breakdown look great together. Reunited at last. 058EA87E-EE23-4A8F-B4D1-4DD459724015.jpeg Also realized that the saw that came with tarantulas works well with knockout. Pretty sure that saw was only used by tmII tarantulas anyways so he won’t be needing it.

I have Jhiaxus and he hasn't yellowed so far. He's great, quality-wise. I had Knockout for a short while before selling him but he was also pretty good with nice tolerances. Definitely felt better than SS86 Jazz who was the base mold

There’s a Black Friday sale going on and they’re down to about 38% below retail. I’m not sure if I should pull the trigger or not

Hmm.... You're definitely not wrong there.

Plus I've had Tarantulas in his alt-mode the last few weeks anyway. But when Magnificus touches down next week, him, Tarantulas and Knockout will be Shockwave's official Malpractice faction. With 3 more possible seats remaining for the Chemist "Animated Oil Slick" and IDW's Pharma and Flatline.

A G1-nified Core clast Scalpel to maybe but only if its alt-mode is something like that saw weapon.

Why isn't anyone simply cutting off the fists and gluing them back on 180° rotated, so you get full elbow movement? Is it really that im important that the hood panels end up on the outside of the arms?
