Nobody knows what a FansToys alt mode feels like because they ship in bot mode

 

Okay, so because of the ‘armature under the backside of the cab/truck holding the back wheels there is only a few degrees turn?

Not a deal breaker for me, although it would have been nice if it had a full turn.

It's been mentioned loads already. The shins clip in, but arrive unclipped. People are leaving them unclipped

 

Okaaaay.

Out the box. They fixed every single thing I fed back except giving me added neck articulation. Can't have it all. To be fair, all the changes made were just around build and stability, not function. Which is %100 expected with how late the test shot was doing the rounds.

Best way to describe the bot is build like fanstoys ( think klaatu solid ) with the articulation, sculpt and personality of takara.

The paint ( I don't like metallic paint ) is done incredibly well. This is everything locke and virtus should have been.

Once locked in, the alt mode is solid. Not fanstoys solid. The trailer has a bit of lean and twist if you push it, I don't think a fanstoys piece would have that, it's their biggest strong point IMO is how rock solid everything locks together. But this is no worse than takara Magnus and certainly perfectly fine with nothing untabbing.

Transformation was harder than the test shot simply because the tabs all now do exactly what you expect them to, they lock and they do it well. Once locked, the rear cab wheels are solid and the cab itself it nice and secure.

Transformation as I've said before is long, fiddly and involved but not difficult. Frustrating juggling multiple pieces but that's about it

I would have liked proper neck articulation like MP44. We have everything else here, should have gone that last bit. .

The shoulders hinge out like all Magnus figures, that acts as a butterfly but I would have liked them to be stronger. They are hinged and do their job but giving them tighter hinges would have been nice. Appreciate they are a perk of transformation rather than designed as butterflies but again, there's so much articulation elsewhere. Should have given us that last little bit.

Smokestacks should have been better. The tab to draw them out is very small and hard to get, they are also probably the loosest thing on the whole figure.

Over all, this is Magnus, this is quite definitive and XTB at the top of their game. Absolutely love it
Have uploaded a pic of the underside so people can see the correct way to lock everything in.

Can we make a list with pictures of the tabs that people have had to shave down in order to go from robot to truck to robot to help others who have purchased this figure?… would be a great help to the entire community. I typically do not transform my masterpiece figures at all just because they break so easy, doesn’t matter who the manufacturer is IMO. All of them have had QC issues.

Yeah it really fits in well. the quality is also good but the only thing I have a slight gripe with the the proportions with the length of the arms I really do think it's a bit too long. proportion wise I think the FT looks better, and I will purchase the FT as well but if your getting only one either one do fine

No, because the cab is made of many thin parts. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy by any stretch. There's just no way so many small parts will feel rock solid.

I've obviously misunderstood, but the gist is the same. It comes like that and they need clipping in properly, but folks aren't doing it
