I still prefer the flat versions. Metallic isn't very toon-like. I wish they would have offered their improved MP versions in flat finish instead of metallic.

The pics look nice and all but the figures are so loose and sloppy and the panel lineup issues, particularly on Silverbolt, are so egregious I shudder the level of patience it must have taken for the photographer to pose all of them!

Cool, I might grab this set so I can have them combined as Superion. I have the original set and they work great for bots.

 

This superion looks really nice in metalics.
I wish they improved individual bots facesculpts, but if the price is fair, a'll buy it just for the look of the combined mode, as long as it comes in a set.

 

If I’m gonna buy a second set of Aerialbots I’d much rather wait and see if MS or NA tackle them. I know the individual bots would look much better if done by either company.

 

I found those pictures on ShowZ, but under an PM version of Superitron.
This must ben an erros, since there is no way it's going to cost $449.

Digging some of the repaint, but definitely not enough to buy another complete set of these guys.

 

I’m doubtful, but does anyone know if they made any improvements to the bots to make them hold together better (I’m looking at your Silverbolt)? Or is thimply a redeco and nothing more? Thanks!

 

Not sure if anyone can answer, but how tall are the bot modes of these next to the Unite/Combiner Wars versions of the Aerialbots? I've got a set of UW standing in front of the UW Combined (with upgrades) and I rather like it the combined. I am considering a set of these however to stand in for the bot modes but I'm thinking the legends might be too small compared to UW scale. Anyone know? I've looked and see all kinds of different height measurements on these figures in bot mode.

Me too, and I'm now wondering what to do. :/
I keep both Zeta Aerialbots and Superion in my NewAge shelf, and their off-white colour is starting to bother me, especially compared to super bright withe figures as Jetfire, Ultra Magnus and Ratchet.
I like the fact that this new set looks more like light grey (than fully metallic/silver), but I'm not sure if I should trust those promo shots or wait for in hand photos...

Looks great, thank you for the heads up (I was waiting for some in hands photos to confirm my preorder).

I love the new finish and I actually believe it manages to be more cartoon accurate than the original relase.

 

Hrmm so the combiner legs are metallic yellow and not metallic gold? It looks more golden to me on the box art, but we all know a little photoshop goes a long way in making it appear that way.

 

i really wish the metallic set had a white silverbolt.or white jets.
