He apparently did't got this one early, and now he's butthurt

 

Sometimes you just get really excited for something and it lets you down big-time. I have only a single review on Steam and it's a negative one (Mafia Definitive Edition for those playing at home) because I was expecting so much more than I got. In isolation it's pretty good, but when you start making comparisons to previous offerings you start noticing where things went wrong.

It's like I said earlier, though - Highdive isn't as good as Slingshoot. Looks great but just isn't. But I wouldn't go so far as to utterly dump on it like he did, though it's fair to say some of his issues have merit (the sharp points and easily-detached double joints). And the feet really aren't helped by DST completely failing to mention that they're on sliders.

 

I was also against these Colors at the Beginning.
But then remembered "Oh...Devastator is always the same, 1 Huge Green Combiner".

So it is okay for me.
They really are very High Accurate Realistic Planes.

Even so, there needs to be more color breakup.

 

It's not "highly realistic" when they're all planes that are very rarely or never ever left in bare metal. These aren't 1950's fighter jets.

Now, if SkyDive was an F-100 or something...

 

Clearly, Mangmotion does not know how to Handle
3rd Party Figures. Yes Heels do extend.
Back of the Foot, there is also an Extension.
Mine is staying on Shelve without any Problems.

I noticed the Sharp Edges. 3rd Party Figures
overall need to be handled with care.
Everyone knows that.

Following EmGo Instructions, I did not have any
Problems with Slingshot or Skydive.

Sure the Transformations are not funny.
But one has to be a Real Stupid Idiot,
if something breakes during EmGos accurate
Instructions. If followed Step by Step, nothing
can go wrong.

 

So much a better path to follow than the provided instructions. But he's clearly modified at least a couple of the tabs, and they're not shown in his "Fix this & that" video.

 

Got him into leg mode. And that's how he will stay forever. PITA

 

I'm impressed with the ideas behind the panelwork again. They still need to work on the tolerances with the paint applied.

How do you get the cockpit slot to line up with that locking tab? I can get it with the lower hinge, but that makes it tough to get the wings to tab in. The top joint doesn't feel like it wants to bend backwards where it connects to the cockpit.

Edit: I was aiming for the wrong slot with the wings. Still having the cockpit pegged in prevents the bottom wing panels from folding in (runs into the hand missles).

They must have taken off the tabs the stop the inner chest panles from folding in on themselves. The instructions say to fold those panels in so the chest folds closer in leg mode, but they're blocked by the tabs on the final thing. Instructions also have the missles at the bottom in combined mode if you follow the steps, but the picture on the last page has them at the top.

 

My first post on here, though I've been a member for awhile. I've got my high dive transformed into jet mode and aside from the things already mentioned with a few tabs here and there I'm happy with it. I also had another look at slingshoot and I feel in general they're both on par quality wise. Looking forward to the next release

 

eeeph   I watched Mangmotion's vid earlier and my copy is waiting to get picked up when I head back (unless it gets stolen, it's left at the apartment breezeway in the cold, lol) It'll be an adventure when I dive into "Skyhigh" I guess  

 

Next should be Silverbolt.
But a LONG WAY to next Release; because Chinese New Year from February - March
Silverbolt will not happen before End of March 2023

 

I was thinking it would be silverbolt from the released photos. I agree on the long wait for it though. Hopefully we get it finished next year but I'm doubtful of that. Aslong as the rest aren't rushed out I'm good, there's plenty of other figures to collect. Just don't tell the other half

 

I bet this superion will be finished before Fanstoys....
