This Deathsaurus is masterfully crafted and carefully designed to exact specifications. There isn’t anything sloppy or lazy about it, unlike Bill Goldberg - Bret Hart probably

Sorry, I don't collect Masterpieces so I'm not familiar. What do you mean by "a jointed chain", and how is that different from what we've seen of Deathsaurus' flail?

Oh, that would have been pretty neat, although I'm okay with the chain it does have, just because I really dig this pose:

A compromise for the chain is to run a twist tie through the links. That will allow for posing the chain. It's a little DIY, but a decent enough look.

Hopefully the chains are big enough for that. Would hate to chip the paint trying to put something like that through them.

    I gotta admit,
That chain weapon is definitely ending up in a baggy of Weapons, buried in a storage tote.

I want that Living Metal Destroying Cannon though. (LMDC?)
But mostly I’ll probably be posing him with his sword and chest minions.

…… when he’s not sitting in his giant Volcanic Rock Chair he totally scored off some giant bug aliens he conquered long ago. :D

But yeah, it’ll be him and my Victory Saber going sword to sword on my shelf most of the time, I’m thinking.

The chain weapons cool, but other weapons like that I’ve had have proven tricky to really mess with. In my opinion anyway.

It would have been nice if they'd found a way to integrate the chain weapon with the cannon as an option, ala the toy rifle:

why DOESN’T he come with the toy rifle? It’s probably budget but it would be cool to see

Yep, there's a lot of concern given that several recent HasLabs went over like a flaming bag of doggie doo left on the doorstep. However, Deathsaurus isn't a half baked option sold at $500; he's a great figure for a really reasonable price as these things go. He's going to get there. I can't guarantee all the tiers, mind you, though I'm confident.
I think the HISS tank numbers spoiled us, including me.

I think it isn't necessarily budget as they are going for anime accuracy over toy accuracy. For instance, JG1 Tigerbreast turns into another blaster for Deathsauras but the HasLab figure follows the anime which made Tigerbreast a bow to shoot arrows with.

Yeah, there's not a "hate Reva" campaign or a "pay $250 for a $150 game that would routinely go on clearance back in the day" element on DZ.

His main faults are that he's a single figure (VS is at least two figures with a lot more going on) that's half the size of a titan but is being asked for titan pricing and he's a character only a niche amount of the fandom knows about (some of those finding out after the fact of Victory Saber). He's desired but there was a small amount of gambling here on Hasbro's part. As much as I'm loathe to say it - I do think Hasbro could have sold more units as a neutered leader class figure when all is said and done.

I absolutely adore the balance of toon and toy both of these haslabs have.

I hope he hits all of the tiers too, right now I'm mainly concerned with how slow the numbers are going up. I really want that weapon pack and throne

Hasbro definitely would have sold more units at leader class but I wouldn’t be one of the buyers. What would I do with a Deathsaurus that’s 3” shorter than Victory Saber? It would have pushed me to the 3rd party figure. Which would be sized better but seriously lacking in the looks department as I barely only knew of the toon version let alone ever read any of the IDW stuff. I am thrilled that the HasLab has the right size and style to match my HasLab Victory Saber.

It would be that situation where I'd begrudgingly be "forced" to get him cause it's the only modern proper deathsaurus to go with my victory saber.

I'm so glad Hasbro went the route to give victory saber a proper companion piece

You do know he’s ahead of where VS was right? He’s going exactly as expected.

I’ve gotten FIVE emails from pulse about my shopping cart and how I still have items in it: Minerva and Crasher. I tried purchasing them for 10+ minutes last Friday when they were showing as in-stock and available for pulse premium members but kept getting server errors before both items sold out.

Minerva and Crasher haven’t been in my cart for days now and this morning I still got a pulse email about items in my cart. It’s annoying and I would have bought them if they were still available !!!
