That Bludgeon looks pretty damn good, going to be hard to pass on that. I don’t imagine a redeco of Legacy Tarn with a new head will scratch the same itch that this will.

I really hope those shoulder guards have some movement, otherwise Bludgeon’s gonna suck.

I am not a huge fan of the sculpts...the proportions are very wonky to me. That said, I am down for a toon swipe and streaker if they ever get that far.

I’m happy to be proven wrong, but I doubt there will be movement, based on my experience with wave 1. They don’t seem to be considering active display poses or playability. More just overall seamless aesthetics.

I’ve cancelled my preorders, but will be keenly interested in early video reviews. If he’s much better than wave 1, I’d be happy to jump back in.

Not in love with that bright yellow on Bludgeon...should be gold or more tan. Should look more like armor.

Can't wait to see some out of package shots and reviews though.

After getting Banzaitron, I cancelled all my other preorders for these. He was just deeply underwhelming. Somehow the fact that the handle on the little Razorsharp figure was molded to have a hinge but didn’t actually move put me over the edge.

I think before I was picturing these as kinda like MP Actionmasters, but they are more like vinyl statues with basic, unremarkable articulation. I feel like I can get 85% of the experience of them just by looking at photos and videos, without having to expend any money or shelf space.

Wow, Tracks’ head sculpt looks great from the 3/4 angle. Handsome bot!

I know there’s lots of frustration over these not quite being what people expected, but I’m still digging them. Plus, this is the most animation accurate Tracks we’ve ever gotten, even if he’s a bit extra cartoony.

Someday I’ll get my superposable accurate Tracks, but this guy will still have a richly deserved spot in my collection – especially because he’ll never be stylistically redundant.

These look both good and bad at the same time. I've never seen such a dichotomy in a physical representstion before.

It looks like none of them have hip articulation and only Bludgeon has knees. That... that can't be right, can it?

Yeah, Banzai-tron was my "trial" bot as well. While he makes a fine Generations Actionmaster himself, his partner was a solid chunk of easily broken vinyl with no way to really be a true Targetmaster despite looking like it was designed to be as such. He'll stay on my shelf but I have no use for anymore of these.

Wouldn't be surprising. Super7 has been skimping out on articulation for many of their Ultimates lately. Their Godzillas don't even have elbows and they're charging $80+ for them lol

They do. Part of their design ethos is minimizing visibility of joints. All the solicitations showed them articulated. They just want them looking more like cartoon drawings than articulate figures.

Yeah, I feel the same way.

I wish the RED series would tackle Actionmasters and Pretenders. They still aren’t great but I feel like you get more bang for your buck with RED than Ultimates.

Why isn't hasbro doing this in the RED line instead? Action masters like banzaitron and headmasters like Bludgeon should be released with full articulation, and hinged paneled hip skirts. Alpha Trion and the fembot too. Any G1 character that didn't transform on screen.

NGL that's probably the only way we're getting a truly cartoon accurate G1 Elita-1 at a decent scale.

RED is prime real estate for Actionmasters. And since it's Hasbro themselves, they aren't prohibited by their own "licensees can't make transforming product" rule for the partners. I'd be down for a $30 level option that come with the Targetmasters.

Because RED is sold at Wal-Mart. They are going to lean heavy on top tier characters. Super7, with their lower production runs, can do the more obscure characters. Also, looking at Grimlock, they will take scale into consideration as Grimlock looks bigger than the others. With them doing smaller scale figures in other lines, fingers crossed for decently scaled mini-bots. Also, I would definitely buy a Mumm-Ra scaled Mr. Horse for Ren & Stimpy.

LOOOL what is wrong with that second head of Bludgeon? He looks stoned - or channeling Skeletor. Also, the helmet seems off, it shows way too much of the forehead.
