I’m not a big PR guy but I did watch MMPR on dvd thanks to renting it from a library as a kid and like many Tony was my favorite, from suit, to zoid, to other things. My heart goes out to his family. Tragic 2 weeks with the loss of two fandom legends with Kevin Conroy and now Jason David Frank. Rest In Peace both of you two. You and your work will never be forgotten.

    He did.
I was NEVER a PR fan. Didn't grow up on it.
But I have met several of them over the years of conventions.
Everyone has their inner conflicts that we as the public don't see but he will be missed as I know him through my wife. She's not a "nerd" but HE was her favorite ranger so I've watched him because of her and he really was a stand up guy. On and off screen.
    Bless his family and freinds.

He wasn't just the Green Ranger, he wasn't just the White Ranger, he wasn't just two Red Rangers and a Black Ranger, he was in many ways the international face of an entire subgenre of science fiction and superheroes. His contribution to many of our tastes in media and storytelling can neither be understated nor understood by most people outside of those niches.

The fact that he died and the manner in which he did so are heartbreaking tragedies. I don't know if it's my place to mention his personal life, given that I did not know him, that said knowing that he was so dedicated to his family let alone his fans makes it even more painful to find out what he must have been going through near the end.

While I grew out of Power Rangers a long time ago, it cannot be denied that I would a very different person without it, both as a nerd and as an artist and for that, I must give Mr Frank a very personal thank you.

Rest in peace Jason David Frank, an actor, martial artist, father and icon who will be remembered for decades to come. May the power protect you.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is the first entry of the Power Rangers franchise, so for those whom started watching in 1993, Jason David Frank will always be remembered as the popular Green/White Ranger even though subsequently he has been the Red Zeo Ranger, Red Turbo Ranger, Black Dino Ranger.

I'm throwing a dart and mean no disrespect to him or his family but if you check TMZ, his wife filed for divorce for cheating back in late August and mentions a toxic relationship so a possibility from that:

'Power Rangers' Jason David Frank's Getting Divorced, Wife Claims He Cheated

Losing Kevin Conroy was enough already so this on top is just insane now

You can ask this same question about every celebrity suicide. Depression and anxiety don't care about that. Plus the loss of his step daughter and his divorce must have taken a toll on him.

For sure. There are those people who were inspired to become martial artists, some might've become paramedics or doctors, and there's those who simply became good people all thanks to him. There are people who got a negative view from him, namely if you caught him at a con at the wrong time, and he did have a problem of being very egotistical, but you have to admit what he did for the brand. PR probably wouldn't have continued on if it wasn't for him and his influence on the show and the kids who watched it those many saturdays and sundays ago.

Seriously? Even if he cheated (TMZ? ) that doesn't mean that he deserved it.

No one is saying that, people are just trying to make sense out of a senseless situation.

The simple fact is that we the fans don't actually know anything about his personal life beyond what those involved chose to reveal and what the tabloids claim and I think we should accept that and stop speculating about it.
