Kronis armor? I mean, it feels like they especifically made it so they could eventually reuse it for Terroar. Not to mention that it has attachment holders which Terroar lacked before.
I tried that and it's too small. I missed that. Maybe, but I was going off how Battle Ram Blog has him labeled. Parts Reuse in MOTU, Part Seven: 1988
This one feels like it's part two of the Snakemen story, maybe part one is packed with King Hisss and Thunder Punch He-Man?
Dang. It felt like it was made for him, but hey they could probably modify the mold or make a new piece so no biggie. He's my most wanted 88' figure alongside G'rasp and Plasmar.
I think he's more interesting of a concept that Sun-Man and Space Sump and he's not as lame as Lollipop-Man.
The artwork in these is beautiful but I wish they could get a professional letterer. It would only cost $25 a page or so.
Amazon delivered Whiplash last night. I didn't know what to expect, it's odd how his backplate is a separate piece permanently attached to his back, it looks like it's supposed to be removable. His tail is fairly static, I was hoping it'd be softer or even bendy, they should have jointed it in a couple places instead to make it menacing instead of just a tail. The only other thing I'm not thrilled about is how limited in movement the head is, for some reason the ball socket is shoved way up inside the head so that it can move side to side and bobble around a little, but not tilt or look up and down a whole lot. But he is an interesting design, something a little different, his silly face with its dopey grin is amusing and its wrong-way center tooth gives him a unique charm, the tail gives him more balance options while posing, and the dark blue trunks and boots pop quite well against the greens.
That would run $150 per mini comic and close to or over $1,000 per year. I'm not sure how much it would effect the bottom line, but apparently it's too much for Mattel. There are free after all.
Speaking of Masters/WWE Superstars crossovers... Does anyone have Hollywood Hogan in MOTWWEU Macho Man's Horde gear? I have both figures but they're in storage. I'm thinking of buying Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and two more Macho Men for a complete core New Horde Order team but I'm not sure how it would look. I seem to recall someone in this thread putting Hollywood Hogan in Horde gear with their Origins Horde.
Perfect. Beautiful. I was a little worried about the heads fitting. I may do the armor and the armband and try to find spare black pants for Scott but that should all work fine. I just thought maybe the hair would keep the heads from going on with the armor. They look great with the WWEU figures and I think they'd look great as Horde reinforcements.
A little parts swapping can get a better MotU look. Just swapping out Hogan's boots for straight black boots and adding Goldberg's silver arm guards helped.
I was probably going to cheap out and use Macho Man's white boots. I need some black trousers for Scott.
It feels a little odd that they changed the left arm on this Trapjaw but I guess that the robot/cyborg hand was a bit of an anomaly in the line anyway. I'm tempted to get this version too because the colours are great, he's so vibrant and striking. He makes the original look like a G2 repaint in comparison. If anyone is on the fence about comics Trapjaw and doesn't already have normal Trapjaw, just get this guy. It's simply a great toy regardless of anything else. One of the two best basics (the other being Buzz-Off).
The left arm on the Mini-Comic Trap Jaw is a standard arm with a simple metal cuff: They honestly did a bang-up job translating him to Origins from the source material "The Menace of Trap-Jaw", I can't picture him lingering the way Mini-Comic Stratos did. You're totally right that he's a really fun figure in the line, although I would also have preferred the cybernetic left arm despite accuracy.
