Feels like he'll be on my shelf as a "What If? Starscream survived DOTM and was reformatted in TLK".

Shoulder movement looks to be pretty limited but I'm in favor of his larger scale. Lumitent was too small imo.

 

Outside of vastly different designs and US toy company restrictions.

 

The design is not a reason, the budget could be if this one is more expensive, I am not sure about the US restrictions... either way MPM-10 sucks

It doesn’t suit my preferred aesthetic, but it’s not a bad design. It’s just a bit too much “Bumblebee Movie Starscream” for my liking.

 

not an excuse, a reason, for the jet mode to be as clean as these 3p, it would have needed to be almost twice the size (and the scale between the robot mode and jet mode of starscream would have been perfect) but, at what cost? well, way more engineering and given the hypothetical bigger jet mode, even if the robot mode would have been the exact same size as the one we got, price would have been way higher, people would have complained to no end about the cost, the "small" robot mode and all of that (i would have loved if it was that way because im quite eccentric about my scales and all of that, but again, what about everyone else, believe me, they WOULD have complained EVEN more)
here we dont have those restrictions, thus we get clean jet mode and big robot mode as well

Man no one seems really that interested in this figure.
Looking at the new pics I am afraid that this figure gonna be hell to transform. I mean look at that underbelly panels! I hope that it's sturdy not a floppy mess.

 

All it’s really got going for it is a smooth alt-mode, tbh. It doesn’t look enough like any TF character to really appeal to us en masse.

 

Honestly, the silhouette made me think it was the Don Fig Jetfire from IDW when rodimus and his group ditch bumblebee.

Looks sick, but I just got Gcreation Ultra Maxmas and Trojan Horse Hurricane, so I’m out of money and patience for this kind of stuff at the moment. With the right colors, this could be Depth Charge or Armada Thrust, which would make me very interested…

It looks cool but yeah, being an original character and not someone from TF, it completely depends on transformation. If the transformation is a nightmare it doesn’t really matter how clean the jet is to me.

 

If its anything like TFC's J20 and CS02 (assuming it's from the same designer), transformation shouldn't be too complex. Personally I'm hoping that the wings can be flipped up and some 4th party makes a cool Starscream head for this guy.

It likewise resembles a Bumblebee movie character to me as well, which is enough to knock it completely out of my consideration. It looks well-designed and -executed but has a robot aesthetic that I find unappealing. Cool jet mode, though.

It just one of those figures that I can respect but not like, if that makes sense.

 

I'm actually a great target audience for new characters, because that's what I'm after instead of the fourth iteration of the same thing because the chest plate was just a little too detailed for 'toon accuracy.'

Unfortunately, I'm not interested in new characters for my MP shelf, and while Lumitent was clearly a smaller figure (and great for classics/mainline), this one looks like they went up to MP scale same as their chopper. So get one part right, get another part wrong for me.

I was also looking forward to that Flanker they showed off, but I'm betting that's going in the MP direction as well. Too bad, I really wanted more along Lumitent's lines. But I get I'm in a small group in that case.

 

Because most of us aren't going to buy a 100usd+ figure that doesn't have "Transformers [name of a character]" slapped on it.
