Was watching victory for first time last night, over the course of the first 6 episodes I designed and printed a few (very) simple bits for some leftover toys to get a combining road Caesar, not sure if he’s to accurate scale with star Saber, but I like this height vs the Haslab. should be 20-25 cm ground to head, so 9inches tall. Figs are universe/generations sideswipe and sunstreaker, plus energon prowl. Works perfectly as sunstreaker is a lambo, sideswipe is a red lambo that’s close enough to the red car the origional red one was, and prowl has that weird buggy shape. Only paint that needs to be done is a blue chest for sideswipe, and then some black on prowl. Prowls funny wing bits become the feet, keeps the blue theme like the origional. Like I said I’m amazed no one has done it before with how perfectly it all works. articulation: Arms are unaffected, so very articulated, shoulders, elbows etc. Legs are nearly done printing, just hips left. Knees done. Ankles have forward back and side to side tilt due to pegs. Pics: EDIT: Humongus photo dump, Had my LED photobox set up, but fucked the colour settings on either my phone or LEDS, and didnt realise till the end that they were turning out a lil blue. Some are green/red etc. just for fun! Full team pics tmr Road Caesar
This sounds fascinating, I can't wait to see how Prowl looks with the rest of them! How do the knees work?
Interesting. I'm personally hoping that an official Road Caesar might come out of HasLab someday, or maybe be a Commander Class deal or something, but this is looking really cool and I can't wait to see the finished combiner. Using figures from different lines isn't something I would have thought of myself. Those legs are very well done! Glarryg
Lil' update, printed a left knee piece, and a right side thigh, so whoops! General idea still comes across I think. Waist is WIP, connector piece (superlinx joint-waist) is nealry finished.
Righto, basic engineering is finished. Proportions are very, very weird, but when this is your reference: It's pretty hard... head is just on ball joint, and its a pretty simple design so I trust my ability to make it(maybe....). The chestplate is also on a balljoint and will be quite easy to replace. the waist swivel is super simple, and forms the connecting joint for the legs. There is only one bit of partsforming, the thighs, and waist. Here's the full pics: small chest is odd, but the rest is decent. arms are a bit long, and the legs are waaay to long, but whatever.
yup, no new chest or head yet, and I'm still waiting on paint, but here he is! Fantastic figure for the time!
The sword I'd really good! I think the chest could be improved by making the arch smaller, so it doesn't cover up the shoulders. In the pics you took before replacing the police bar, the proportions don't look too bad, but the new chest makes it look like his ribs go down to his crotch.
